Is anyone else experiencing this? Hubby is employed and we get health insurance through his employer. I am an "insured dependent" and not being charged - so MY non-vaxx status doesn't matter (evidently). He, however, is paying a surcharge for not being vaccinated - to the tune of $100/mo. He has had COVID twice and certainly should be considered "naturally immune", at this point. We have written to HR (who seems to be the point of contact for this) protesting the surcharge, sent a Dr's letter saying he (our Dr) does not recommend the shot for my husband (our Dr is one of the rare ones who has not recommended the shot to ANYONE from the get go, thank goodness!!!). We have sent medical publication links to these people stating the dangers from such prominent journals as Lancet, information stating that natural immunity is far more effective, sent several letters of protest regarding the legality of the surcharge and are at wit's end with it. We told them their push to financially blackmail my husband into taking the jab against the advice of our Dr amounted to practicing medicine without a license. Yet the monthly charges keep coming.......
Naturally, the cost for insurance through his employer is MUCH cheaper than we can do on our own, but we are both eligible for Medicare, at this point. What the hell else can we do to make this stop?? Is this even LEGAL for these a-wads to continue with this surcharge? We have asked for the charges to stop and to be reimbursed for all funds collected over the past year and a half. How do they have a right to do this? Has anyone else experienced this with an employer who provides your healthcare?? We do pay a monthly premium but as I stated above, the pool participation makes the cost MUCH lower than anything we can obtain on our own. Thanks for any insight(s)!
I don’t have an answer, but I think it’s odd that group insurance would have a carve out penalty for individuals within the group. It tends to defeat the purpose, and perhaps there are regulations that would prohibit it.
Go with Aetna Medicare advantage. Its Cadillac insurance with no additional premiums outside of the monthly Medicare premium which comes out of your social security check. No vaxx penalty.
Can y’all go on Medicare?
Hire an attorney to draft up an ‘Acceptance of Liability’ agreement that if the ‘clot shot’ causes death or disability the employer accepts all responsibility for the results.
This is bassackwards.
I believe that long term, the health care costs of those who have been vaccinated are likely to be greater than that of the purebloods. The insurance people should be thanking the purebloods for keeping costs down. Instead, they want to charge us extra. Sheesh.
Let’s hope biden doesn’t get the idea.
I will not pay a surcharge on medicare being unvaxxed.
It would just like the fed to backdoor push this on seniors.
Making the healthy blooded pay for the jabbed/effected.
Unreal.
Keep us posted, please.
Ask them if they have an AIDS surcharge.
We got pressure from our insurance carrier for this exact same scam. I told our broker to shop the group policy, as we would be buying insurance from a company that tried to impose this on our employees.
Wouldn’t you know, they changed their tune!
Now, that’s not an approach that an individual employee can take, but there’s nothing wrong with letting the company know that their employees don’t think this is either fair or reasonable. If they hear enough negative feedback, there’s a chance that they’ll reconsider.
Join the military...you don’t pay for insurance there. Then get 100% disability and get free VA health care.
I hope nobody wastes their time and money following your advice. The company has no obligation to sign such an agreement and won’t even bother reading it all the way through.
It’s not logical so don’t try to make sense of it. It’s a tax on disobedience.
“...the health care costs of those who have been vaccinated are likely to be greater than that of the purebloods.”
Who do you think is going to pay for the increased costs? The purebloods. The insurance company is just collecting in advance.

Under the Affordable Care Act (ACA), group health plans (and self-insured employers) can charge tobacco users up to 50% more for their health insurance premiums than non-tobacco users, and when they do this it is called a tobacco surcharge.
Sue them for negligent homicide of the people they forced to get vaccinations and died from them.
Itβs definitely legal. Just as smokers get a surcharge. Covid has cost insurance companies billions. Those at risk of getting it must pay a little more. Iβm just shocked your getting off so cheaply.
Perhaps I have thought of another strategy to employ.
Try asking them if the vaccinated people are also getting covid, and are they also being subjected to the surcharge, and if not why aren't they.
It is now well documented that the "vaccines" do not keep people from becoming infected with the engineered virus. A virus which the government itself funded & engineered with our tax dollars along with the the help of communist China, per Dr. Robert Redfield's testimony in front of Congress recently.
That other doctors are now indicating that the "vaccines" are in reality bioweapons.
That life insurance companies, as well as, mortuaries are claiming that excess deaths didn't start occurring until after people started taking the EAU (Emergency Authorization Use) "vaccinations".
Furthermore, Biden himself has said that the pandemic (plandemic) is over.
Even airlines have allowed pilots & other personnel, that they had let go for not taking the "vaccine", to return to work, because they had lost too many of their pilots et al that been vaccinated, either through death, or diminished capacity to do their job.
In other words, hit them with facts and make them justify the surcharge.
If you know of others, get them onboard as well, as there is safety in numbers. Good luck with whatever you decide to do. π
