-The Mid Vermont Christian School varsity girls basketball team dropped out of the state championship playoffs because of a trans player on the opposing team.
-The head of school wrote that the team dropped out because 'playing against an opponent with a biological male jeopardizes the fairness of the game'
-In Vermont, state law prohibits discrimination against student athletes on the basis of their gender identity
A Christian prep school in Vermont forfeited a playoff girls basketball game in the state championship tournament after discovering the opposing team had a transgender player on the roster.
The Mid Vermont Christian School girls team, the Eagles, were set to face off against the Long Trail Mountain Lions in the fourth game of the playoffs last week before the Christian school dropped out, therefore giving up its place in the tournament.
The head of the institution, Vicky Fogg, said it would be unfair and unsafe for the high school girls to play against a biologically male player on the other team. In a statement to Fox News, Fogg wrote: 'We withdrew from the tournament because we believe playing against an opponent with a biological male jeopardizes the fairness of the game and the safety of our players.
'Allowing biological males to participate in women’s sports sets a bad precedent for the future of women’s sports in general.'

Yeah... thats why I posted this article. There are always stories out there about trans athletes, very few of ‘fight back.’ Good for them! Champions in my eyes.

This is the ONLY WAY to fight this. Don’t count on legislation, or Republicans, or Feminist Groups - simply DO NOT ENGAGE in this crap. If they had done that with Lia, he’d be back on testosterone at this point.

All these woman’s sporting events should do this when the opposing team supports artificial women on their team. Show up and get ready to participate and when the other team shows up, walk out.
I wish they wouldn’t say “biological male”. Male is male, female is female. Saying biological male accepts there are other kinds. I know I’m old and no one cares what I say, but I’m damned if I will accept any of the trans nonsense. The headline should read more like the Christian school won’t allow their girls to play against teams that include boys and leave it at that.
It’s also unduly dualistic, that is... it assumes there is a category outside ‘biological’ and there isn’t when it comes to ‘gender.’ Gender is a biological fact that is determined by ones DNA.

There you have it. Now the schools can just say it doesn’t matter about gender, and field one varsity basketball team. Yeah, the girls will not see much playing time, but if they want to win they will understand.
They already won. Now the whole world knows who they are.
