Biden Admin Charts Path of No Return with China - What Was Once Considered 'Unthinkable' Is Now Reality
The Western Journal ^ | October 15, 2022 at 12:52pm | Jared Miller

The United States has a history of putting rivals on the world stage in a corner economically, obligating them to make the first moves to war.

One of the most famous examples of this strategy came on July 26, 1941.

On that date, President Franklin Roosevelt introduced sweeping economic sanctions and asset seizures against Japan.

As a result of those sanctions, “Japan lost access to three-fourths of its overseas trade and 88 percent of its imported oil,” according to History.

Needing oil to maintain its military might, Japan had little choice but to declare war on the West and mobilize its imperial fleet against the United States less than five months later. According to CNBC, the United States now appears to be utilizing the same strategy against China in the form of heavily restricting chip and semiconductor exports to the country.

While access to petroleum was crucial to militaries in the 1940s, access to semiconductors is crucial for any modern military to maintain its formidability on the global stage. According to CNBC, the U.S. Department of Commerce recently introduced strict rules and licensing requirements for chip exportation to China with the apparent goal of cutting the country off from access to chips used in supercomputers.

CNBC implied that the justification for these sweeping regulations relies heavily on the belief that semiconductors can and will be used for “advanced military capabilities.”

Abishur Prakash, co-founder of the Center for Innovating the Future, told CNBC, “With the latest action, the chasm between the U.S. and China has now expanded to the point of no return.”

“The latest chip rules are a sign that Washington is not trying to rebuild relations with Beijing. Instead, the U.S. is making it clear...”

Yes indeed!
I was eight years old when that fellow traveler, FDR, threw the gauntlet down to the japs... I remember it well...

FDR and the communists that heavily infiltrated his cabinet were determined to assist the Soviets in getting the U.S. into a war that the overwhelming public opinion was dead set against...

FDR knew the jap response would generate the support he needed to go to war against Germany, thereby bailing out the Soviet Union...

Sort of like when the 9/11 raghead attack on the towers and the pentagon plunged us into a series of wars that are still nibbling away...

Democrat presidents always get us into wars...
They always will...

World War IV will provide a great excuse for the disastrous handling of the world’s food resources and the monetary problems of many nations.

At least that’s what they’ll blame it on.

This article doesn’t discuss WWI.

The history of what “led to” future events does NOT justify racist, genocidal world War by dictators.

Hitler indeed resented Germany’s loss in WWI, that does not remotely justify the Nazi party.

So we supposed to just leave our electronics supply chain firmly in the hands of the Chinese Communist Party, after all the threats and the Wu Flu?

I just love these propaganda articles. “Japan had little choice but to declare war on the US.” Sure. Passing off rationalization as justification. Gimme an effing break. My God its as bad as anything being printed today. “Putin has little choice but to nuke europe and America.”

Denial. It's not just a river in Africa.

Even further back- I blame Teddy Roosevelt for wanting America to join the Europeans in the Empire game. If William McKinley wasn’t shot, we’d have never been involved in Asian politics the way we were.

Another hilarious aspect of this article is that China has been STEALING our technology for decades and most definitely for military use.

Now it will be “provocative” if we don’t allow them to have more and more of it as they keep announcing they’re going to attack Taiwan, Australia and Japan. As well as us.

There is no justification, there are predecessor events that lead to where we are today.

The heavy reparations against Germany after WW1 led to the rise of someone like Hitler as a response to the burden of the German people. No reparations, and there would have been no Hitler.

Needing oil to maintain its military might, Japan had little choice but to declare war on the West and mobilize its imperial fleet against the United States less than five months later.

they don’t have any oil

According to CNBC, the United States now appears to be utilizing the same strategy against China in the form of heavily restricting chip and semiconductor exports to the country.

so this is because the Chins can’t produce chips inhouse...

No Kaiser and likewise no Hitler.

No Mrs Hitler as well.

No Bismark.

No Churchill.

No Eva Braun to float his boat.

No German Shepherd to make him happy and confident.

How about No Germany or German race for him to defend? “Blame” that on the Ancient Romans for losing to the Germanic invasions.

How about blame Hitler and the Nazis?

Not getting your point. I know about fdr.

The history revisionism that japan had no choice that is going on is rationalization. To say they had no other choice is assinine. They could have also maybe, stopped being at war, war they started. With China. Over a false flag incident.

Do your realize they don’t even teach the truth today about world war ii in Japan?

America has a dual personality, kind of like Jekyll and Hyde. America with Reagan and Trump is not like America with Obama and Biden.

Party identity is not perfect, but it is a start. Just about every person I know who shames/blames America has voted Democrat. You know the story, slavery, segregation, Indian genocide, etc.. And where were the Democrats on these topics? When it counted, Democrats were pro-slavery, in both the north and the south. Segregation? Democrats, not America, segregated the races. Indian genocide? What about Indian removal (Trail of Tears)? President Jackson, founder of the Democratic party, was responsible.

I’m beginning to appreciate an old quote that is sometimes attributed to Everett Dirksen: “There are two parties, and two parties only, the evil party and the stupid party.” With Democrats blaming America for the many sins of the Democrats, and Republicans going along, it’s not hard to see who is who.

So America has a history of forcing others into war? Who says? A Democrat perhaps. What is the example? FDR and Japan? FDR was a Democrat. Now if Biden, another Democrat, pushes China or Russia into war, who do we blame? America?

I’m tired of reflexively defending America for the sins of Democrats. America has an evil party that does evil things.
