Gab is an amazing social media forum. They don't moderate users, well except for porn and direct threats of violence. It also has more features than Truth Social, Twitter, and even Facebook.
I even created a group (just now) and made it private called "Freerepublic". I'm hoping more users go there to experience what freedom on the Internet is like.
Also here's a tip: You can create your own filters to block things you don't want to see. Like N-word, Hitler, Obama, etc...

There is value to discussion groups where opinions are not censored by Leftists. It allows info to “go viral” among conservatives, who can then cross-post to Twitter and such.
Much of Twitter/Facebook “content moderation” is to stop right wing thought from going viral at an early stage, and stopping budding right wing commentators from building an audience.
The other social media platforms are constantly bashing whites while all other groups are off limits. If there is going to be bashing or ridicule or comedy or more thoughtful and serious criticisms, then let everything and everyone be fair game. I think that is the appeal of gab; no list of taboo subjects.
Either a forum allows all legal speech or else it does not. Gab allows all legal speech. Some people want to disparage Jews and blacks. Facebook, Twitter, etc. don’t allow this. Gab does. So naturally those who want to post such disparagement will go to Gab and post it there.
I don’t disparage blacks and Jews on Gab. But I do stand firmly on the word of God. I have been kicked off of both Facebook and Twitter for annoying Satan. Gab will never kick me off for doing that.

I don’t think any group should be bashed or ridiculed on any social platform. There are less ignorant ways of expressing ones views on the news of the world. Maybe that’s just me.
I tend to agree with you on that. I’m not really interested in bashing or ridicule either. I am, however, very interested in freedom of speech and expression given that those ideals seem to be in great peril these days.
I understand that there are ways of filtering out the Jew bashing, but I don't know why I would even venture over to the site in the first place, especially given alternatives like parler, substack, telegram, and truth social. Having to go to a new platform, figure out their format, conventions, etc... and then having an errand to run right away so you don't have to read the deluded rantings of the klansmen wannabes who already pollute the site isn't a strategy that's going to get lots of support.
If Gab wants more users, that's a Gab problem. They, I'm sure, know the Jew bashing is a big barrier to their business being more successful. I'm not going to make it my problem to solve.
I am keenly interested in freedom of speech and expression as well, but I am also keenly interested in propriety and civil discourse. For those who are at least functionally literate and articulate, the free exchange of ideas suffers no loss if bashing and ridiculing are absent.
Until the media looks for other outlets, Twitter will continue to be the central platform. Their alliance with “news” outlets keeps the main flow of traffic coming…
Been on Gab since inception, give or take a few months. As stated previously, legal posts are not censored. There is a mute button and a block button, they are very handy. There are filters which you can set up. For the most part you are in control, if you can’t scroll past the BS, block/mute. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, however, no one is forced to listen...ain’t free speech awesome:)

From the moment I joined gab in 2016, I got nothing but threats and intimidation. Some of the people who were doing it were people I have known for a long time who are involved in organized crime now. (A couple of them I had forgotten their names and that they existed. Now they’re back! Wheeeee. They’re apparently not done with me yet.)
From the second I made an account on gab, I received bullying and threats. The pr0n is sickening, and - ya know - how can anybody be okay with “filtering out” stuff that’s so gross and offensive and pretending it doesn’t exist? Connect with all your Xtian friends on gab and filter out the nastiness, hate, and lunacy. Sure, that sounds like a great idea. Do you connect with your Xtian friends on “pornhub” too?
“You can filter out the n-word” - yeah, but you can’t filter ALL of the idiots who advocate killing ethnic minorities, women, or anybody who doesn’t want to follow their authoritarian rule. If you want to spend time on gab, you have to be okay with the most extreme and violent hate rhetoric. “Filter it out” - but it’s there. There are a lot of platforms where people don’t get to post pr0n and threats, so maybe just use those? That stuff about gab being for Christians - no it’s not. It’s for GANGSTERS who like to manipulate, exploit, and rip off the gullible.
I am not that bothered by threats, which is something one can expect on the wild and wooly internet, but I felt forced to delete my account after all the death threats I continually got - again, a lot of it having to do with folks on gab who I knew in the remote past who are now involve in drug and human trafficking. I deleted my account because I knew that if something DID happen, that if I was attacked or whatever, it would be said that I was “asking for it” by remaining in a venue where people wanted me gone.
And clearly someone wanted me to leave the forum and never come back - one day I kept getting logged out again and again, and prompted to make a new password each time, so I finally deleted my account. Just a short time later - just a week or two weeks - the entire forum went down because of the synagogue shooting in PA.
Some of the freaks and criminals of gab are still causing me a problem and I haven’t had an account on there for years now.
If you like porn and death threats, you’ll like gab. And if you like the porn and death threats on gab, you’ll probably end up getting set up for some sort of crime. Did I mention the govt spooks and stalkers who use gab to gaslight the crazies and track criminals?
And then there’s the data mining and tracking they do. Make an account, give them time, and they’ll find everyone you’ve ever talked to on the internet. Then they’ll find everyone you’ve ever worked with, gone to school with, all your family members....
Gab is like a Ru$$ian version of tiktok except not as friendly and more obvious about exploiting your personal information.
I’m not for censoring opinions and ideas that I find distasteful or vulgar. The past few years have convinced me of the great importance of the the right to hold and express ideas and opinions that others have deemed off limits.

FR is about as close as I get to social media. Yes, I have a FB account, but only because there is a group where I can go to in order to get the latest information on a website the government/military uses (VMWave/Desktop Horizon). That’s about it. No Twitter, Gab, Truth Social, MeWe, or anything else.
The one thing I’ve learned about social media is that it is a good idea used in a wrong way.
I don’t consider FreeRepublic social media really, because users don’t have accounts that track: follows/followers, friends, family, likes/dislikes, political leanings, location, devices, employment, age, gender, etc, etc.

Free Speech is awesome and I for one will never take it for granted again. These past few years have opened my eyes and ears. If there is something that isn’t supposed to be discussed or mentioned, it’s likely that one ought to be paying attention to that something. I feel like I should be using my own judgment and tastes to decide what I want to see and hear and what I don’t. Zuckerberg and the goons at twitter have opened a lot of minds when they intended the opposite.
Most people don’t realize the level of AI based hate messages that are auto posted to a site that doesn’t go along with Pro-Fed, pro-globalist idologies.

Now the only question about the anti-semitism, is are you seeing quotes from Jews/Rabbi’s or just general anti Jew spam?
There’s no way to figure reality out if you assume anything criticizing a person or group is anti (insert hypnotic programming here) unless you dig into the matter to see if there is any truth to it.
Most American’s are stupidly and purposefully brainwashed to think the Jews=Israeli=Hebrew=Torah=God’s chosen people. Many millinea have gone by and those people exist in fairy tales now.
If you actually read their religious documents, you see just like with Christianity, there are the white supremist koooks, as well as normal Christians; just like Islam has their Daesh (ISIS) types, there are good and bad; the Jews have their own flavor of highly successful bigots and henchmen who hate Causasians, and many are great and normal people.
Anyone telling you otherwise is partially educated and completely indoctrinated.
THe oldest trick in the book is to smear the other group that is challenging your authority, just like the J6 henchmen vs American freedom loving patriots.
Over time, Truth Social should achieve the same functionality and may at some point move ahead of it (Gab).
So for the time being, I will stick with TS for the main reason that I want to show support for President Trump, who has an account there and posts regularly.
I really don't have time to work two social media platforms as it is somewhat time consuming to follow the right accounts and to cull those (using the block or mute feature) following you who throw a lot of noise and other nasty stuff into your feed. I try to keep my feed useful and informative.
I do have an account with Gab and check in once in a while. There is little to nothing over there that I'm not already seeing on Truth Social.
