The search warrant executed at Donald Trump’s club in Florida Monday has triggered much speculation about what the FBI was looking for in his personal safe. One thing that should not be in doubt in any longer, however, is Attorney General Merrick Garland’s willingness to go after the former president.

exactly. They are holding prisoners in deplorable conditions without bail for a year and a half - no one has done anything. they shor an unarmed American woman veteran, no one has done anything, they stole the 2020 election, no one has done anything. THey have no reason to believe that anyone will do anything to them at this point other than express outrage on social media. so why not go for broke? The problem is, that they think they have “evolved” and they are better human beings and so much smarter than our forebears. - would that they understood that history repeats itself and they are no better than any other tyrants in history. There will be a reckoning. There will be a storming of the Bastille or another shot heard around the world or a john brown.
We know they would never lie on an affidavit.

Attorney General Merrick Garland is my concern for the next 2+ years. Even after the R’s take over congress, they won’t have a super-majority. And they won’t be able to stop Garland’s activities. Congressional investigations won’t result in prosecutions without Garland’s approval.
I suppose the only option for the R’s is to gut the budgets of the DOJ and FBI.
Garfinkel’s family only arrived in the US in 1939.
He’s really not American; has near zero relatives in the US or history in this country. He doesn’t really care if he burns it all down.
He undoubtedly grew up with stories of the Saint Louis being refused port in ‘39; he harbors a massive grudge against the Americans.
So he doesn’t mind throwing a nuclear bomb. He’s basically a terrorist, willing to abuse power and take all sorts of risks. He’s been told he’ll be protected - so go ahead.

investigators took the more serious step of requesting a search warrant. This suggests that officials at the Department of Justice did not think they would get all the documents in Trump’s possession if they filed a subpoena.
they wanted a warrant for a fishing expedition and possible planting of damning evidence
garland is butthurt and he wants revenge
They were there to plant evidence, not find it.
Garland isn’t confident due to finding some evidence, if he was he wouldn’t have had to scrape Epstein’s attorney-turnex-judge up to reuse him for a warrant. If there was something real, any qualified judge would do.
