There is no Federal law against abortion. The military is not subject to state laws. Military bases world wide including inside the USA are US Federal land and subject to the UCMJ not state laws. Once in another life I was stationed in the great
State of Alabama which at the time had an age of.consent significantly below the UCMJ age. The MPs were very clear that Soldiers and Marines were not subject to Alabama’s laws while on post but to the UCMJ. The DOD is affirming that
Federal law on Federal land takes supremacy as is also defined by the Federal supremacy clause. Native American land is also not subject to state laws only if they signed a treaty with the state which some did alot have not. How do you think they have casinos when gambling is illegal in those states they answer to the Fed’s under treaty. I fully expect the Indian Nations to offer to host clinics outside the reach of the state’s same for the DOD on Federal military bases. As long as they don’t fund the units they don’t run foul with the Hyde amendment but that’s up for renewal every year in the appropriations bill and could be dropped any year Congress chooses too they control the purse.

Now that men can get pregnant, our combat readiness could go out the window if too many soldiers get pregnant & no access to abortions..

Heh... this is a very interesting wrinkle...

When RvW was declared women were not allowed in the infantry so abortion wasn’t an issue for the soldiers on the front lines.

Now they’ve made it one and are declaring that soldiers on the front lines... who fraternalize with each other (another issue I won’t go into here) may require men with uterus’ er... birthing persons containing birthing organs who are men... uh... yeah... women to have abortions because it hinders defense readiness.

WORSE - it now makes federal military bases (but not the national guard bases) defacto federal embassies now with their own MEDICAL LAWS separate from the state they’re in.

Typical Dem logic applies - if the state has leftist control it’s a states rights issue, if the fed has leftist control it’s a fed issue - same stupid asinine logic they’ve been using to turn the court into an activist one that’s now come full circle.

We’ve got to reign these retards in.

Do you remember the good old days, when the Pentagon followed American law?

They are right. The military is not subject to state laws. The military is under Federal civilian control they don’t answer to any one or all of the 50 strates. There is no Federal law against abortion and the UCMJ is also silent on the issue. Therefore the military it’s members, it’s command and it’s Federal property will not and cannot be told by the states to do anything. Federal bases are independent of the state or even the country they are in. Would someone argue that an American base in Korea or Germany is German property and under German law? No that’s ridiculous the same applies to Fort Hood in Texas it is not Texas soil it is US Federal soil the same as Federal soil in Korea or Germany. Same for US Embassy or consulates they all are US soil and full and only subject to USC code and the UCMJ.

The dirty little secret is the epidemic of rape and casual sex in the military. Letting women in the military was a “feel good” moment for feminists but it causes a lot of problems. Easy abortion is the “solution” to cover up the problems created by putting women in the military.

I thought there weren't that many abortions. A pregnancy was a guarantee for a woman that she wouldn't have to worry about going into combat.

Remember the whole "Love Boat" deal when all these women who had signed up during peacetime, all of a sudden found themselves conveniently pregnant so they wouldn't have to go off to Iraq?

He is certainly afraid his female soldiers would be out of commission if not allowed to kill their developing human inside them. They would go on sick leave and maternity leave. Essentially taking them out of their army role.

Smart guys and smart women will stay out of situations which would entrap them with a homicidal partner. The free nookie party is over.

Many have long been saying the military has been groomed for a long time now to be an arm of the Left. This buttresses that opinion.
