Despite all the talk about disney, Hollywood, media, war, biden, putin, Rihanna, slapping, masking etc
Maybe we can have some fun today
What is the worst movie you ever watched?
I can agree some movies are so bad that they are funny, certainly you can include those too.
Two others that come to mind are “Quest for Fire” (walked out in the middle), and “Sphere” (actually fell asleep in the theater). Sphere had close competition from “Event Horizon”, which opened around the same time if I remember correctly. I don’t remember a single detail from that one; it was that bad.
I Love Trouble - https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0110093/
Quest for Fire - https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0082484/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0
Sphere - https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0120184/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0
Event Horizon - https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0119081/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0
Worst movie I’ve seen:
Heaven’s Gate.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0080855/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1
Runner up:
Death in Venice.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0067445/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1
There are tons of bad movies on the streaming services.
“Tarzan the Ape Man”(1981),starring Bo Derek
"My Dinner with Andre" meets "Hamlet" ?
The original BREATHLESS.
“On My Way to the Crusades, I Met a Girl Who...”(You would expect to see some skin from the billboard advertisement. A silly movie about a chastity belt and no skin at all!
Demolition Man was great. Dennis Leary’s diatribe for freedom was fantastic.
Must be getting obscure; no one mentions ZARDOZ anymore.
Then I come on and defend it because I kind of like the plot, Sean Connery in a red diaper notwithstanding.
It grossed me out.
But for objectively bad movie, story, acting and cinematography it has to be Jupiter Ascending
There was not a single smidgen of virtue to be teased out of it.
The original Wicker Man was great!
Pretty much.
I don’t remember all of the bad movies but this one stands out:
The Unbearable Lightness of Being
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0096332/
Or maybe more accurate to call it “Waiting for Hamlet” :)
I tried watching it several times. Couldn’t make it through.
Another bad one the X rated CALIGULA. Couldn’t make it through even with all the sex.
LOL!
Burning Man with Nicholas Cage.
That was on purpose. Ed Wood was a horrible director.
I've seen everything made by Ed wood. I've seen They Saved Hitler's Bain. And none of them even approach the sheer incomprehensibility of this movie. Amazon prime eventually took it off because of all the complaints that it was not even an actual movie.
Read the reviews on Amazon for a good laugh. I think you could also find it on YouTube for free, but I wouldn't recommend wasting any of your life watching it. The initial credits at the beginning of the movie actually last for 20 minutes.

Do not be fooled by the occasional high rating at Amazon. They come exclusively from the director's family members and countrymen who are trying to plug his utter crapfest of a movie.
Agreed. It’s no award winner (of course that’s a positive in my book), but some of the future predictions they spoofed on are coming all too true.
Joe Versus the Volcano with Tom Hanks
The Sixth Sense with Bruce Willis
And.... YOU’VE GOT MAIL - Meg Ryan
Vanilla Sky - Tom Cruise...my wife and her sister got myself and her sister’s husband to go to it without them. About halfway through we looked at each other and said ‘this is a chick flick!’
