Despite all the talk about disney, Hollywood, media, war, biden, putin, Rihanna, slapping, masking etc
Maybe we can have some fun today
What is the worst movie you ever watched?
I can agree some movies are so bad that they are funny, certainly you can include those too.
Haha, the song was the most memorable thing about the movie left. Played alot on the old Dr Demento show.
yes sorry Wicker man is correct
No love for Torgo, eh?
Only 7 posts in and we have THE winner! :)
As much as I loved the novel, this movie, Battlefield Earth, was unbearable and absurdly disappointing.
So terrible it’s funny.
The one I paid for at a theater was “Indiana Jones and that Stupid Crystal Skull”.

Swinging thru the trees

The next one that will be awful for the franchise will be “Indiana Jones 5” where Indie is involved in time travel and you see a younger and older self and he is replaced by a woman. Think worse then Shia LaBeouf. <- I kid you not
The Gods Must Be Crazy
When I was in college a bunch of us were challenged to go see an X-rated version of “Jaws”.
It was called “Gums” - about a lovesick mermaid; she grabbed male swimmers, pulled down their swim trunks and gave them blow jobs to death.
Well, I guess Bill Clinton would have enjoyed it.
LOL - thank you for digging that up.
My BFF since our teenage years and I usually have pretty similar tastes in books and movies. However, she raved about this movie, (she lives about 1200 miles away) so a close friend and I went to see it.
My friend here and I were the same way - “what the $&#* is this dragged out torture we’re enduring??” I thought my childhood BFF was pulling an elaborate prank on me, but no, she actually liked it.
I’m with you. And Elaine.
I read a few of those books.
maybe they needed better producers other than John Travolta..
“Just a creepy character all around.”
The thing is, he was kind of supposed to be creepy. He was originally created as an adult stand-up comedy act with risque jokes and gags. A few years ago, Reubens did a special that recreated the original style of the act on Netflix and it was pretty good.
But somehow Hollywood didn’t get the joke and thought the character would be good for kids’ movies and kids’ television. So I guess Reubens just took the money and said what the heck.
“The basic idea for the movie seems like it would make for some good schlock, but the execution is just terrible.”
OK. I get it. I was reacting to the concept or title of the movie which made me chuckle. You saved me some time. Thanks.
Eraserhead was one of the two movies I ever walked out of the theatre over (the other was Ingmar Bergman’s Fanny and Alexander).
Yep, “Reservoir Dogs” was just too sadistic for me. A year or two after seeing it I discovered that it was a remake of a Hong Kong action movie called “City on Fire”. Chow Yun Fat played the Tim Roth part and Danny Lee played the Keitel character. A friend had lent me a VHS of the Asian movie and I had no idea until I started watching it that it was essentially the same plot as “Dogs”.
Seeing Jean Tripplehorn wet throughout the movie makes this a cult classic
