Alan West, Republican for Governor in Texas, shared a video last night where he is enraged that his wife was arrested for what he believes were false charges.
Alan West shared a video from a Dallas police station last night where he claimed his wife was being housed after being arrested for driving while intoxicated. But West claims that observers did not see her drink alcohol and she did not fail an intoxication test when pulled over.

We were on a cruise in 2017, and the Wests happened to be on the same cruise. It seemed that drinking was not “a thing” with them. He’s being targeted due to politics.

Unless you’re some sort of gymnast, nobody can pass one of those tests.
This is a blatantly obvious political hit job. City cops are mostly dems. Doesn’t matter what state. Most city mayors are dems. The chiefs are dems and the cops that they hire are mostly dems. West is obviously seen as a legitimate threat so, he must be stopped. Smearing his wife as a Drunk Driver is just the beginning. The more of a threat he is, the more the dem machine will go after him.

When we lived in Austin, (circa 1984) there was a situation where a motorcycle cop cited over one hundred people for DWI and also noted that they had wetness visible between the legs. The insinuation was that they hid their beer cans in their laps or were incontinant. A lawyer noticed that this report was repeated often in the file of his citations and threw all the convictions out because the men were ashamed to contest the tickets because of the report that they had damp pants.
This was apparently the way this cop made his repretation. And extra money for the county.
So what was the wetness specifically caused by? Holding their beer between their legs while riding or what?

Every time I read about these events, I remember the iconic line from Alfred Hitchcock’s North By Northwest.
“Roger, pay the ten dollars.”
Cops are drawn from the same pool of humanity as the rest of us; some of them are assholes and some of them are decent folks. Same as any other group. They get up, go to work, get in fights with their wives, get aggravated, have a good days, have bad days,And all the while they do a job where they know they’re going to piss somebody off during the course of the day, and it could have lethal consequences for both sides involved.
The problem is the assholes among them have guns and badges and the backing of the blue brotherhood…They need to learn to police themselves and get rid of the jerk offfs that give the rest of them a bad image.
