I want Joe to stay front and center. I want Joe to represent the Democratic party.
Let’s suppose Harris becomes president. All indications are that, as with Joe, we’d be better off with a Magic Eight Ball, as president. Harris, while equally unlikable, does not appear to be a senile pederast. I could envision a series of events where, appropriately managed and with minimal appearances in public, she could experience a wave of popularity, as Herbert Walker Bush did, at one point in his presidency. It’s been demonstrated by numerous presidents that it’s easier to win a second term. I’d chill at the thought of having her for six years or ten years. I’m not sure the economy can survive that.
Now, let’s consider who might become the new Vice President. It would likely* be a white, charismatic heterosexual man who might become a shoe-in for a follow-on presidency. Imagine 12 or fifteen consecutive Democratic controlled years. We’d definitely be a socialist country by then.
I think the surest way to a future “conservative” president (notice I didn’t conflate that with “Republican”) is for Joe to remain as the face of the Democratic party. It will be harder and harder to make him seem...for lack of a better word...”there.” By 2024, hopefully, even hippie girls in granny glasses carrying BLM signs will hate his guts.
* I think it’s likely because there are numerous sane decision makers who can see that the liberal crazy approach is doing serious damage. The Democrats (and the Republicans, for that matter) are trying on new images to see what works. They tricked and cheated their way into power, but that won’t (hopefully) work forever.

Because we have more and more narrow channels of information and those channels are focused on clicks, we see America as much more riven with strife than it is. I live in a rural small town and the populous seems friendly, racially mixed and very quiet. But flip on the news or read Free Republic and you’d think we’re ready to deploy artillery on every corner. Even counting all the fake votes, most voting venues were not separated by very much. (If it weren’t for all the fake votes, it would be about the same degree of separation, but in Trump’s favor.) There was nothing like what would have been a similar test performed in, say, 1859. All those riots and assaults are occurring in Democratic blue areas. Stay out of those and, except for cell phones, it is culturally still 1973*. If you want to lead a quiet, happy life, turn off the TV. Step away from the computer. Go outside and smell the flowers. We’ll survive this fake president and we’ll survive whatever he does to the economy. That survival may be better under one president than another...for example, another Bush vs. another Trump. I’d take the Trump any day.
*In the last five years, I’ve only seen two men dressed as...uhm, not men. I can’t say they were trans or dressed as women, because there are damned few women who would leave the house dressed like them. And, as far as the 67 genders, I ask every chance I get if anyone has seen one and hardly anyone even knows what I’m talking about. I’m thinking those of us who look are seeing a tempest in a teapot but through a telescope so it’s all we see. Drop the telescope and realistically evaluate what you see and, unless you’re in San Francisco, there’s nothing of note to see.
Unfortunately, Biden has no idea what happened in Afghanistan because he doesn’t even know what Afghanistan is.
