I want Joe to stay front and center. I want Joe to represent the Democratic party.

Let’s suppose Harris becomes president. All indications are that, as with Joe, we’d be better off with a Magic Eight Ball, as president. Harris, while equally unlikable, does not appear to be a senile pederast. I could envision a series of events where, appropriately managed and with minimal appearances in public, she could experience a wave of popularity, as Herbert Walker Bush did, at one point in his presidency. It’s been demonstrated by numerous presidents that it’s easier to win a second term. I’d chill at the thought of having her for six years or ten years. I’m not sure the economy can survive that.

Now, let’s consider who might become the new Vice President. It would likely* be a white, charismatic heterosexual man who might become a shoe-in for a follow-on presidency. Imagine 12 or fifteen consecutive Democratic controlled years. We’d definitely be a socialist country by then.

I think the surest way to a future “conservative” president (notice I didn’t conflate that with “Republican”) is for Joe to remain as the face of the Democratic party. It will be harder and harder to make him seem...for lack of a better word...”there.” By 2024, hopefully, even hippie girls in granny glasses carrying BLM signs will hate his guts.

* I think it’s likely because there are numerous sane decision makers who can see that the liberal crazy approach is doing serious damage. The Democrats (and the Republicans, for that matter) are trying on new images to see what works. They tricked and cheated their way into power, but that won’t (hopefully) work forever.
