Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley may have an impressive service record on and off the battlefield but I wouldn’t send him out on a reconnaissance mission right now to determine the numbers, strength and intentions of any adversary right now if he considers the likes of Anna Morgan Lloyd a threat to the republic.

Lloyd, a 49-year-old grandmother from Indiana, was the first person to be sentenced for charges linked to the Jan. 6 breach of the Capitol. The unarmed tourist spent two days in the custody of the Harris-Biden DOJ for the crime of following others through an open door and looking around. In fact, if you look at the available footage most Capitol Hill security are seeming just standing around, looking more like tour guides than any impediment to trespassing.

In a sentencing memo, federal prosecutors explained how Morgan-Lloyd was inside a hallway of the building for about 10 minutes, did not commit any violence or destroy any property, and did not coordinate or plan her actions beforehand. For standing inside she was charged with 4 counts. In her plea deal, the prosecution is also requesting that as part of her probation she is unable to purchase a firearm.
