On Tuesday afternoon Columbus police shot Makiyah Bryant, a 16-year-old girl who was attempting to stab another person.
16-year-old Makiyah Bryant was involved in a fight before police responded to reports of an attempted stabbing.
Protesters immediately took to the street following her death.
The mother of Makhia Bryant spoke to reporters about Makhia, “She was a very loving, peaceful little girl. She was 16-years-old. And Makhia had a motherly nature about her. She promoted peace.”

Just another in a long line of failed parents.
I hope that little dog in the middle of all that gets adopted by someone normal.
“Mother” I saw speaking, didn’t seem like a woman who’d just lost her child. Very composed. And the words themselves seemed scripted.
She just turned 16? Did she have any rugrats yet? If not, good.
Agree, is she the foster mom?
“Peaceful”?? Do blacks considering stabbing people and getting into fight “peaceful”?
I am sorry this happened, but I am especially sorry for the officer who was faced with this situation. He has an obligation to protect lives and the young lady was clearly trying to stab the other young lady.
Damned if you do and damned if you don’t.
This situation does not fit the narrative of the left, but that does not stop them from spinning any story to further their narrative of dividing the country along racial lines. I would take them more serious if they started saying the name of the precious young children being killed in the inner-city violence that grips America and is becoming far worse because of their political war on cops.
Those kids don’t matter to them because it does not fit the narrative. It is ignored.
With a little help from Sharpton and BLM, she ought to be able to get at least $5 million in the present market.
If burning buildings and destroyed livelihoods are prima facie evidence of the wholesome goodness of BLM, then I guess a sucking chest or throat wound would would also be evidence of a peaceful, loving nature of a beautiful little girl who didn’ do nuffin’.

You forgot to mention, she loved her dog, and loved her mom, or was that her foster mom? Who knows?

I am trying to be polite. The girl clearly had issues as I understand she was living with a foster family (relative). At that age, when the state removes you from your parent I have more scorn for the parent than the teenager.
In a sane society, the mother would be more scrutinized than the officer who did what he is supposed to do to protect the live of another.
Doesn’t every motherly person stab other people with a kitchen knife?
