I was in Safeway the other day and went to buy butter. We've been long-time Land O'Lakes butter users, but I quit buying them when they went woke a couple months ago. While in the dairy aisle, I got really ticked off seeing the hole where the Indian maiden used to be that I shot off a quick not to the Land O'Lakes Company (below).
I hate it that I can't even go grocery shopping without seeing "woke" garbage which reminds me of BLM, then antifa, the Biden and how everything is going down the drain. (rant off)
Dear Land O'Lakes:I ran out of butter the other day and went to the grocery store where I found your butter with the conspicuous hole where the Indian maiden used to be. I made a conscious decision to buy Challenge butter right then and forever more. I cannot stand woke companies and refuse to buy any products from them.
I especially like the way you kept the Indian maiden's land and mountains but disposed of her.
A former lifelong buyer of Land O'Lakes butter but now gone forever.
PS. Challenge Dairy hasn't yet found a way to claim the elk on their butter package is "racist."
I had the same thought back at the start of all this nonsense when Stanford University dropped the name Indians. I felt, and still do, that because there is no longer any white racism in America, these SJWs had to dream up something to complain about.

Their slogan of “Farmer Owned” reminds me of when I was a kid. We bought our butter and buttermilk directly from a farmer who processed it himself and delivered it in an old pickup with a canvas cover over the products in the truck bed.
Once in a while, he would get arrested for violating some health regulation or another (probably the unrefrigerated truck delivery), but he stayed in business. He had the best tasting products and it was “direct from the farm.”
Several times during the summer we would visit his farm and pick fresh corn from his fields, leaving the husks for his cattle. Usually, we would freeze enough corn to last through the winter.
What if it had been a black man on the package, would they take him off.?? What about Uncle Ben Rice..???
When I saw the new packaging the first thing I thought of was the Land O Lakes marketing Dept. Did they not see the faux pas of getting rid if the Indian but keeping the land?
And we’re getting rid of Aunt Jamima, Uncle Ben, Indian Princess. Are they white-washing marketing getting rid of all people of color, because just the image is “possibly” racist? Why didn’t they just update the image to a modern grandmotherly Black woman? A modern grandfatherly Black man? A modern young Native woman? The possibilities were limitless. But no. Get gone.

This breaks my heart because Land O’Lakes makes the best White American Cheese. Not a joke - my whole family can tell the difference. But the store brand is generally cheaper and tolerable, so goodbye, Land O’Lakes.
I didn’t buy Land O’ Lakes butter because I liked seeing a picture of an Indian girl on the packaging. So why would I be upset about them removing it?
Besides ... if you want to see the Indian girl back on the package, perhaps you should just thank them for removing her — and tell them you’re now a regular customer because you always refused to buy any products with pictures of drunken savages on the packaging. :-P

I was at a restaurant in South Dakota and was served by a waitress who is a Lakota tribe member and proudly so. After I finished telling her about my 1/64th Cherokee bloodline, I asked her how she felt about the missing Land O’Lakes maiden and she said, “They are taking EVERYTHING away from us.”
More than a few have noted that Land O’Lakes is a racist company for removing a positive image of a Native American.

Uncle Ben’s removed Uncle Ben and then rebranded the rice to something Milling or something; a name so unmemorable I already forgot it. Great market strategy. Destroy a product name everyone has grown up with and loved.
