Kudos the Andrew Torba, Gab CEO, for having a well laid out plan and foreseeing it, then executing it. Big tech is surely getting owned right now by Gab and “the people” as they are untouchable to the deplatform scheme.
This is how Populist Press was founded. We were never going to rely on social media for traffic which is a double edged sword to being controlled. We went old school, asked readers to visit us directly, and its paying dividends now as we have been able to get the news stories out that would usually be banned or suppressed by Big Tech. We are at #WAR, we all must begin cutting big tech out of our lives as much as possible.
The ADL has no other way to deplatform Gab so now they are lobbying the US government to do so.
We will never bend to their demands and we will never censor legal, 1A-protected speech that hurts the ADL’s feelings. Ever. Jesus is king.

It’s really, really slow, but I’m sure it’ll straighten out as they add more servers and stuff.
I joined as an alternative to Parler. Little did I know that Parler would having their present difficulties. I believe they’ll be back, however.
Gab has a fledgling “Military History” section, and I’ve been enjoying that very much. I still stick to Free Republic for a news aggregator and commentary site. It’s still the best in the world.
I went to Parler last week, then it got whacked by Big Tech. Moved to Gab. Found I like the Gab interface better, and they didn’t require a phone # to create an account like I had to give on Parler.
So far, Gab is in the lead...
I honestly think it's too late for Parler. I think folks have gone to GAB as an alternative and are liking what they are seeing much better, so no need to go back to Parler when/if it ever sorts out its problems.
With each passing day they are falling farther behind the exodus boat.
Thanks, bfl.

— Jared Kushner blocked efforts by other aides including Johnny McEntee to get Trump on fringe social media platforms, like Gab, after he was suspended in some fashion from almost every major one, including Twitter, FB & now YouTube.
I’m wondering if the reason that Trump has been so widely de-platformed is to deprive him of a mechanism whereby he can declassify all the relevant documents that need to be shown to the American people.
Does this make sense to anyone else? I am not a techie, so perhaps this is a wrong idea.

Also, at our current rate of growth, Gab isn’t going to be “fringe” for long. We’re going to be where the world goes to speak their minds free from the Woke Corporatocracy’s rampant and increasing censorship of free thought.

Hold on, this is waiting to be approved by Breitbart News Network.

To me the key one is who owns the AC? Wonder how long AWS would function without power. I’m guessing an AWS server farm uses as much power as a medium sized city. How secure is it? It would be terrible if the provider deciding they didn’t like censorship and deplatforming and cut the cord. Just saying.
With Chrome on an iPad it never completes the check.
Could be Google (likely)
or
Gab (ream needs to confirm and determine actual cause)
Not really. They were just one of the first to be attacked and they were small enough and had dedicated members to weather it and harden their defenses. That's how they're able to weather the great tech purge of 2021.
Why are you posting repeatedly, links to google, the enemy?
Chrome by google?
Hello McFly? Anybody home?
Google is the worst of Big Tech.
No kidding. Someone else is posting links to trending.google.com
It's like people are asleep.
It’s that simple. Those who realized it early are good to go, the rest will soon be.
The real question then is: “What’s next?”"
Unfortunately, it's more complicated than that.
Even if Gab, Parler, etc host their services on the most conservative of conservative host companies...or even host their own services...they are all reliant on Tier 1 providers.
The part of the Internet Backbone that services this country is made up of a bunch of woke / leftist companies that could throttle back or even cut off completely any traffic to Gab or Parler's service...regardless of who or where they host their services.
Watch what happens when the next "emergency" arises (ex. aunty fa violence at the state capitals on "inauguration" day). AT&T and the others will shut off traffic to the conservative / alternative media.
This is what we are up against.
The hardest part will be getting through the government regulators....if that's possible, I hope Trump assembles a group of similarly wealthy, likeminded (R)'s and conservatives and builds out the complete infrastructure needed to bypass the liberal chokehold on digital information & services. Everything from a social media platform to hosting to messaging to Tier 1 services.
