As tensions between the United States and China continue to rise, the trend of iconic American companies and brands being purchased by Chinese companies — some of them government-sponsored entities — has continued to accelerate.
In some cases, the American company has been sold in full, and in others, investors have merely purchased a stake. But here are some important American brands, now owned at least in part by Chinese companies:

Very disappointed when I realized most Harley Davidson apparel is made in china.
I also have the same experience with amazon...normally 1st thing I do is look for country of origin. If its chinese I pass it up for several reasons:
poor quality, usually takes forever to receive (even if its Prime) and I don’t want my money going there.
None for me thanks....if I can help it.
Very pleased your relative was unharmed, may God Bless you all.
Time to start making our own cards.
A BIDEN WIN WILL BE AN AWARD TO CHINA FOR INVADING US USING COVID 19
Every time an American looked at an item for where it was made in it came from China. Now China’s reliance making everything was being threatened by a change in leadership in America which was a major consumer of those products. When Americans hailed their leaders decision to make many of them in their country US. Their politburo worried.
Worse yet opponents to the Chinese regime in power had its citizens protesting its policies , as in Hong Kong, since that change in American leadership wave the American flag and present Trump’s name when doing so. All of which presented those in power the need to destroy that leader Donald Trump.
Would a runaway plague created by a nation which could threaten populations of an enemy cause them to react by demanding extreme restriction of movement by its population to prevent its spread ? Thus wind up fragmenting its economy and create defeat for that leader’s upcoming election. When they released it that was the CCP intention but it got away from them and went world wide

There seems to be a refusal in certain political circles known as the Swamp to blame the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) for deliberately using the Wuhan virus to create an economy here which would prevent Trump get reelected. Letting that happen will create problems we don’t need. Time we point out the loss of employment and the corruption involved.

AB Volvo in Sweden sold its Volvo Cars division to Ford who then sold it to the Chinese car maker Geely. So it was an iconic Swedish brand that was eventually sold to China
Thank you for the list.
A 2000 Volvo saved a family members life. A tank.

Back in the late 80s I saw a Volvo collide with a 57 Studebaker - these were the days when the well-to-do were buying Volvos because they were supposed to be safer than US made vehicles.
The Volvo had both front wheels splayed outward and the hood was caved in and steaming from the radiator leak. It was driven by a middle aged woman who was being taken on a stretcher to the waiting ambulance.
The 57 Studebaker was being driven by a white haired guy who, when I came by, was standing by his car looking from his car to the Volvo scratching his head, because not only was he not injured, but his car had a fender dent slightly smaller than a football. Pop Quiz: Who built the tank?
Smithfield meats-—I used to buy those hams..NO MORE
Another major loss for Ford.
Yeah they didn’t list that one. Guess they missed it. 8>)
Still does not make Volvo an iconic American brand.
“There is a stack of “Harpers Weekly” from 1914.
... But I will be interested in reading it to find out how the elites promoted trade with communist china back then.”
China wasn’t communist back then. It wasn’t communist until after WW2.
5 more companies on my list not to patronize.
Well I agree with you on that point. 8>)
Case knives are still made exclusively in Bradford, PA.
Yes, but its difficult to even mention china without recognizing the hammer and sickle they’ve become. Thanks for the clarification. I should have been more specific.
I just finished reading the article. There was a compelling interest to increase trade but unfortunatly they have become a primary axis of evil which we facilitated to create.
