It's a simple question. If the worst imaginable comes to pass, should Trump attend Biden's inauguration ?
Would attending the inauguration and shaking Biden's hand legitimize the shameful, sordid, and stolen election of 2020?
If I were Trump I'd leave Washington in his helicopter the morning before the inauguration. There should absolutely not be any semblance of continuity and transfer of legitimate power.
I would not give Biden or Harris or the democrat party or the media the satisfaction of any sense of legitimacy. I can already see the iniquitous smugness of the media throwing everything in Trump's face.
This act would be the line of demarcation symbolizing Good vs Evil - a clear break from the Washington Swamp and hopefully a new beginning of a new Trump Freedom Party.
Donald J. Trump should never concede. He shouldn't even give the appearance of a concession.
He should declare that he was elected by a landslide, and he will not take part in a ceremony that would tacitly condone this treasonous coup d'etat of the presidency.
NEVER endorse seditious behavior. Only by fraud could joe biden, china’s little mascot, achieve the presidency. NEVER endorse the treachery.
If Democrat, Criminal, Corrupt Politician, Election Cheat, Joe Biden is inaugurated POTUS...it will not matter whether departing, POTUS, Donald J. Trump attends the inauguration or not, because, the day that illegal elected Biden takes the oath of office of the POTUS.....the United States of America Republic dies instantly!!!

The real sad news is how the “weak sister” Republicans are hiding in the corner...not supporting Trump who, won Re-Election with a massive landslide victory!!! Not only no, but HELL NO. To do so would lend a degree of legitimacy. Let all the swamp and media lament that he should have, but by not attending, Trump’s absence would deny legitimacy.
I say YES, he should attend.
But he should eat a large bowl of baked beans beforehand. And maybe some cooked cabbage.
And then show up with some burritos and start to eat them during the ceremony.
And then open a couple of cans of Mountain Dew and drink them while Biden is speaking. Maybe gargle the Dew during the speech.
I think if he does those things, it would be okay to attend.
You have to understand it will be hard for the Democrats to arrange a huge event that conforms to Covid-19 distancing and number of people gathering requirements.
Trump can always say that his attendance would violate the Covid-19 rules that Democrats seem to say must be obeyed. Of course Democrats violate them all the time when it suits their purpose. Trump rallies are also counter to most Covid-19 gathering size and distancing requirements.
Trump should show the US and the world that he is a “man” and properly attend the ceremony, even shaking Biden’s hand.
It takes a strong man to shake the hand of a con-artist, crook, coward, fool, brain-damaged simpleton and possible traitor.
Trump “Makes America Look Strong Again”. Biden makes us look like shit.
Do it Pres. Trump. Make us proud for possibly the very last time!!!
The big indicator for me is that I can’t recall him ever mentioning Biden once by name since Election Day. He always refers to him as “my opponent” or “that guy.” The latter is about as disrespectful as it gets in matters of public office.
