President Trump announced the 1776 Commission designed to promote patriotic education and push back against leftist indoctrination efforts such as the 1619 Project .
The 1619 Project is a fact-challenged effort to rewrite the history of America as the date African slaves arrived in Virginia.
Developed by the New York Times, it is described as an effort to reframe the countrys history by focusing almost exclusively on slavery.
The President accused Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden and the Times of corrupting history and education while offering a counterproposal .
I will soon sign an executive order establishing a national commission to promote patriotic education, Trump said at a speech at the National Archives.
It will be called the 1776 Commission.'
He added that this new effort is designed to encourage our educators to teach your children about the miracle of American history.
In doing so, it will make plans to honor the 250th anniversary of our founding.

Trump is making the right moves
I think the best overhaul would be small group homeschooling in conjunction with online lessons.
Public schools are daycares and brainwashing centers.
It just allows more people to be in the workforce while suppressing wages.
Often one parent barely makes more than daycare and babysitting costs.
Start booting H1-B’s while we’re at it.
Bump to the top!
Reagan fired all the air controllers and replaced them. Fire all the teachers and replace them. Drain the classroom swamp.
Teachers are not federal employees.
Finally, a true culture warrior on our side wanting to play offense.
He’s already done a yeoman’s work in eviscerating and discrediting the propaganda organs, it’s great seeing him go after the indoctrination mills.

Lefty teachers will make a joke of any lessons that trickle down to them from this.
Even out in the north Idaho countryside, I can hear the collective shitlib REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE from here. Delicious!
When Obama was an Illinois Senator he and Bill (step on the American flag) Ayers had gained total control of the distribution of funds from the Annenberg foundation which they passed its millions on to lefty fronts offering courses to Illinois and Chicago schools pushing the what soon would be the BLM agenda. Author and investigative reporter Stanley Kurtz should be asked about this when interviewed about socialist plans for the suburbs. For at that time when Obama was doing this he tried to expose those radical left study programs over a program held by WGN radio but was threatened by protesters who prevented a co-hearant presentation.
Our Education System Fosters American Self-Loathing

The American Federation of Teachers, in its most recent journal, illustrates how postmodern ideology also dominates K-12 education. The issue paints America as under siege by the white supremacist power structure and urges its 1.6 million members to counter the pervasive hostility and discrimination of people because of their race, ethnicity, sexual orientation/identity, immigrant
or disability status by being activists in the classroom. Teachers should defy our racist country by promoting victimized racial and ethnic groups and focus on the social inequities pervasive in America http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3793469/posts

Where ever the De-mons are in control this is going on
Reasonable. Let’s learn about lawful DC government.
Education needs to get back to the 3 original Rs..some tech stuff.
Sports should be held on weekends at players expense.
Maybe a certain Freeper could be the committee chairman.
It is with the 3 R’s that the problem initially started. It is not just enough to say we need to get back to the 3 R’s. For example, the first R - Reading - the content of the books students read often mold their minds for later in life. Books we used to read in schools have been banned from these same schools. Take the book from Hemmingway, “of Mice and Men” a book long banned by schools as reading material. Remember higher education schools wanting to get rid of Shakespeare? Books that presented right from wrong and true morals have been replaced by the likes of the 1619 Project which institute false history. Or the current fad of race-pimpers that want to instill “diversity” into the classroom.
Schooling starts with being able to read and to write. Followed by mathematics which not only teaches the basics of adding and subtraction but logic, induction and inference. But none of the of this is possible without being able to read and write. It’s just that what is read is the most common cause for the issue students face today.
I have told my contacts, whom I’ve asked to try to get me on the commission, that I did not want to head it. Don’t have the experience or the energy to chair this. But I do want to be on.
How can ordinary, non-professionals contribute to this most worthy enterprise?
You may (or may not!) remember a few emails we traded years ago when I applied to be a history teacher in our local school system. I was rejected because I had no experience as a sports coach. Also, I’m sure using my real name on FR had something to do with this rejection! I finally gave up and went back to my previous field (engineering).
I have never stopped reading, studying, and visiting history and historic locations (emphasis on WWII ETO), and plan to continue my travels as long as I am able.
I would truly like to be a part of this.
