Police in Anne Arundel County, Maryland say an app on a child's cell phone told a 5-year-old to take naked pictures in the bathtub and threatened the child with strangulation if the child didn't do as they were told.
Police received a call for help on September 16. Officers discovered the child had several questionable cell phone apps...

It is sick out there and getting sicker.
What concerns me more is that there could be older kids out there of age 13 or so who are taking naked pictures of their younger siblings and sending them to someone for drug money or maybe for money to just to buy Cheetos, judging from how many obese kids there are these days.
Five year olds are installing apps and reading at that level?
I home schooled my kids and they were all reading well early and theyd not have been able to do this at this level at this age.

There are plenty of reasons a young kid could have for having a phone, but no good reasons for that to be unmonitored and unsupervised.

I think people give phones to kids that age because of all the games on them and it is a way to keep the kid occupied and from pestering them.
Duh! So they can download apps that ask them to take naked pictures. How will they do that without a phone?
