The combination of the Coronavirus pandemic shutdowns and the riots which followed have essentially rendered gun control a moot issue for a generation.

We have previously written about the surge in gun sales, but now we have a clearer picture of the numbers....Democrats often bring up the subject of hunting when discussing the Second Amendment, but as we have seen over the last six months, it is self-protection which motivates more people to exercise their constitutional rights.

These are supposedly first-time gun buyers. Hope this is the case, even if a handful of them are BLM or Antifa.

Difficult right now, inventory is slim and getting ammo is worse. Prices are insane because of demand.

I noticed that last weekend. I’m in fairly good shape for ammo but could stand to stock up a bit more. The prices I saw at the gun show I went to were ridiculous. Looks like I’ll be waiting for a while until prices return to reasonable levels.

Mid-30s here. Bought my first handgun 6 years ago during the Obola pandemic, a Ruger SR9. A couple months ago I told my wife we’re getting two more... a S&W M&P .22 Compact (easy for her to fire), and a S&W .380 Shield EZ.

“Why do we need to buy two more right now?” she asked. I asked her if she thought it was going to get any easier 10 years from now. I don’t have a CCP and had two apply for two pistol purchase permits, which took 3 weeks to get in a Republican county.

You’re dead right, and people need to act now because it’s only going to get worse.
