From canoes to yachts, over 500 boats decorated with U.S. and Trump 2020 flags navigated Collier County waters Saturday in support of President Donald Trump’s reelection.

Boaters departed after 10 a.m. from the City Dock in Naples to a recording of the song “God Bless the USA” and the national anthem. They then navigated Naples Bay and farther south to the Jolley Bridge on Marco Island.

Someone once said, “If you want to know what it’s like to own a boat, stand in a cold shower tearing up $100 bills.”

I’ve heard that the day you buy a boat is the second happiest day of your life.

I live off a canal area with probably 10+ marinas. I would say maybe 5% on the boats have Trump flags. But I have yet to see a Biden flag.

I will test it as I bought a boat Friday. Will see how long until I sell.

Best of luck - hope you enjoy it!
I’ve always had the good fortune of friends who have boats. Great sailing out on the beautiful Chesapeake bay.

It’s like anything else... take care of it, proper maintenance, it’ll work. Neglect it, and it won’t.

I think if you live on the water and have a marina clost by it’s worth it, because it doesn’t take that much time to get your boat and go. Also, if you’re wealthy lol

Dictionary definition of boat: a hole in the water that you throw money into.

So was it 2500-3000 boats, or “over 500?” (later in the article its says 530.)

I think it was 500 “major” boats capable of holding 4 or more people and the rest canoes or kayaks.

I lived on our family/company boats for ten years and our description of the boats was, a black hole in the water you threw 1000.00 dollar bills into, the only thing that ever changed was how many bills.
