... and so, is there any thing out there that would show this facebook post as legitimate?

possible propaganda?

It happened here a few weeks ago. Idiots posting threats of rioting that never materialized.

We can all post that our side is weak, and that we’re not even fighting back, or maybe this:

Is there anyone reading this post within say 50 miles of Gettysburg? If so, what would it take for one or more persons to visit said Perkins restaurant ahead of time on a clandestine reconnaissance mission?

[clandestine means not showing up there wearing a ‘don’t-tread-on-me’ shirt or covered in American flags]

Is this Perkins even seating folks inside yet?

Will they be open on 7/4 at 14:00 hrs?

Have they had any other inquires about a July 4 meeting? from who? (we’d love to connect with them and show support)

just my $0.02

Where are all of the patriots who fought for free speech and kicked Antifa’s azz at the Battle of Berkley and other engagements? Where is Based Stickman and Tiny Toese?

Flags are retired by respectfully burning them. A family member who collects them from our town old flag deposit box has retired or “burned” a few thousand over the last couple years. It’s unbelievable how many used flags are collected yearly in just one small town. Some of these flags even look like new.

Left Behind USA? They’re teenagers! Incredible entitlement. In need of trade schools. Maybe this is why the left took trade classes out of high schools.

I live in Maryland, just south of the Mason-Dixon Line. I go through Gettysburg regularly to shop for food, et al. I don't go to Perkins and never will. If the a--holes start carying on in Gettysburg, I will take it personally. I will be really pissed off. Gettysburg is my neighborhood.

They died to stop other people from gaining independence from Washington DC

Semantics. The south wanted to maintain independence from Washington because they wanted to keep their slaves.

I certainly hope so. I had two great-great-great-uncles who fought for the Union up there.

My Dad (RIP) actually took me to where the Bloody Cornfield was located. A battle so awful that the corn itself was razed to stubble and a seemingly endless procession of bodies accompanied that withering fire.

That’s cool. Any way I can send ‘em a C note to help fund the activity?

(And yes, I’m serious. I had two great-great-great uncles who fought in that battle. I wish to do something to help prevent the desecration of their memory. Do you really think the Dumpster Fire Nitwits will stop with the flag if the Park Service decides to sit on its butt?)

Really? I've never heard that before. Wait! On second thought, that's repeated over and over and over and over and over and over relentlessly, even though it is completely false, and easily proven to be false.

The USA had legal slavery. They could keep their slaves by remaining in the USA. And if there was any doubt, ole Abe Lincoln had his cronies trot out the Corwin amendment through the back door so he could create the appearance of distance from it.

So if Washington DC is offering them perpetual slavery, how is leaving improving their chances for having perpetual slavery? Is not that problem already solved?

No, they were leaving because they were sick and tired of 60% of all their money going to New York and Washington DC. They were sick of getting outvoted in Congress with every new scheme to pry more money out of them to build projects in the North.

Taxation with representation is also no good if you don't have sufficient representation to stop them from taxing you far more greatly than themselves.

You may not be aware of this, but the Southern states were responsible for creating 73% of all the taxes paid into the US Treasury, and the Northern states only produced 27% of the taxes being paid into the US Treasury.

So yeah, taxation with insufficient representation sucks too. It's just as bad as having none.

The only thing I can say is that the Gburg police and park police were notified and are aware.

No idea if it’s real or not but plenty of patriots intend to go and spend the day, just in case.

At worst, they support the local economy.

Bloody Lane.
The Cornfield.

Local to me.

Practically grew up running the battlefields.

Did grow up in the western areas rife with lesser known skirmishes.

No but they wouldn’t take money anyway.

They’re going because they’re fed up and pissed.

Thought about going up in the car because Himself has not finished this year’s ride.

You know, if I had a diagnoses of Altzheimer’s or ALS, or some form of inoperable cancer — something that was gonna punch my ticket in another few months or couple of years, in my hands...

In other words, when you have nothing to lose but a few agonizing months?

Fast rewind to the Declaration signing,"..We thus pledge our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor" our last few months of terminal illness..."

They’re the ones close to me.

Haven’t really gone to any of the ones more than 60 miles away.

I used to eat/sleep/live this stuff.

I grew up on the road that J.E.B. Stuart took on his way to the skirmish at McCoy’s Ferry.
[have a weird “paranormal” story for that]

Took the same high school Civil War History class twice every year just for the field trip.

My photography class went there once, as well.

For some weird reason, my mom has photos of me at 4 years old perched on Gburg monuments.

The anniversary of the burning of the burning of Chambersburg is on my birthday.

For a long time, I made sure to go there on the Harley and be obnoxious.

:D
