Santa Ana, California, is experiencing a surge in crime as suspects exploit a national recommendation to wear masks to prevent the spread of the Chinese coronavirus.
The Santa Ana Police Department told CBS News Los Angeles that the city has seen a 50 percent spike in robberies since California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) announced a sweeping stay-at-home order in March. Speaking to the news outlet, one gas station clerk recounted how he was held up at gunpoint by a masked thief last Friday at 2 a.m. The clerk said the suspect didnt arouse suspicion because mask coverings are now the norm, allowing the thief to catch him off guard when he pulled a gun on him and took his cash before getting away in a silver Nissan Altima.

What a shocker. (sarcasm)
Good! Have at it criminals. This is your year! Not sarcasm.
Isn’t the first thousand dollars or so stolen ok by Ca?
If the law would allow me, I’d have fun stopping them.
Everything the Left imposes comes back to bite them in the end. And yet, they live.
Home burglaries are down 50% to 80%, so the bad guys need to find money somewhere.
Pair this with the Kalifornia BoP releasing prisoners, it’s basically The Purge out there.
Didn’t see this coming. ####
Only if you steal it from a store (I think).
If I were on that neighborhood website (app?) “Next Door” (I think it’s called), I would have a lot of fun posting the crime report statistics for my area for this 2nd week in May and the stats for the area for the same week last year.
Unintended consequences, or what the left intended? Allowing the “oppressed” to take what is “rightfully” theirs from their “oppressors.”
Ay, que sorpresa! (s)
As I walked into the supermarket, I recognized the local cop on security duty. He, too, wore a mask as did every worker and customer in the store.
I asked, “Is this the meeting of the Jess James gang. The bank 30 yards away is still open.”
He was still laughing when I left the store.
I truly doubt this holds true in Arizona, however.
Dont blame them, they could be arrested if they didnt wear a mask!
