Pentagon officially releases 'UFO' videos

The Pentagon has declassified three previously leaked top-secret U.S. Navy videos that show “unexplained aerial phenomena” and that some believe could show Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) in an effort “to clear up any misconceptions by the public on whether or not the footage that has been circulating was real or whether or not there is more to the videos,” said a Pentagon spokesperson.
“The aerial phenomena observed in the videos remain characterized as ‘unidentified'”, the spokesperson added.
“The Department of Defense has authorized the release of three unclassified Navy videos, one taken in November 2004 and the other two in January 2015, which have been circulating in the public domain after unauthorized releases in 2007 and 2017,” said Susan Gough, a Defense Department spokesperson in a statement released Monday.
The 2004 video shows an incident that happened 100 miles out over the Pacific, according to the New York Times. Two Navy fighter pilots found a oblong object hovering above the water. It then flew quickly away. “It accelerated like nothing I’ve ever seen,” one of pilots, Commander David Fravor, told the NYT.
The 2015 videos show objects moving quickly through the sky, one of them seeming to spin in the air. “Look at that thing, dude!” a pilot says. “It’s rotating!”
The release of the videos by the Pentagon adds to the legitimacy of the the videos and will spur more speculation that humans have recently interacted with extra terrestrials. The Navy has guidelines for reporting UFO sightings.

In response, the former Senate Democratic leader Harry Reid, from Nevada, tweeted the three videos “only scratches the surface of research and materials available”.

So The Pentagon declassified the videos in an effort “to clear up any misconceptions by the public on whether or not the footage that has been circulating was real or whether or not there is more to the videos.” The question remains why is the Pentagon releasing these videos in the middle of a pandemic?

In another thread someone said the pilots made visual confirmation of the objects. I don’t know if that’s true or not.
Except vids and transcripts are 14 years apart. Did the FLIR imaging still have hiccups ?
If you’ve ever ridden in a private airplane with a good view on a sunny day, there is a shiny bright spot on the ground exactly where your shadow would be. It’s the sun reflecting from things on the ground that happen to reflect light back to you. It follows along the ground at exactly your speed. If this spot is recorded on a video camera and the plane rolls, the spot will appear to move very quickly due to the angle change of the airplane. If the camera is on a gimbal, the spot will appear to move as the gimbal changes angles. The speed at which the spot moves can appear to be well above Mach 1.
This exactly what these so-called UFOs could appear to be.
Because Flynn is about to be exonerated and will be free to tell the media his side of the story. Time for a distraction and there are no schools, malls or churches to shoot up.
Agree in the sense that an object on the ground or ocean is a likely answer. When the average person sees the clouds moving so fast in the video, they think that is due to the object moving, when the fast moving clouds are due to the PLANE, itself, moving. Moving clouds like that would appear even if the object was completely stationary, on the ground. Other images like this have gone unexplained when it turned out they were ships or oil platforms burning off excess oil, which triggered infrared etc tracking.
I have seen two UFO type crafts. Clear and crisp in broad daylight, not grainy and shadowy at all.
Back in the mid 90s me, my wife, and our 3 year-old daughter were able to visit the Roswell crash site. It was on land owned by a man named Hub Corn. We had to pay a certain amount, and sign waivers, but he did take us back there and we got a ton of pictures. I don't know exactly what happened - or if we'll ever truly know - but it was fascinating being there and imagining what took place.
While we were there we were able to visit with Walter Haut, who wrote the initial press release about the incident. He was an interesting man, but I came away thinking he'd dramatically over-stated his part in all of this.

If, hypothetically, an alien race has traveled here, they are likely thousands, if not millions of years advanced beyond us. We must be like an ant hill to them. Like human interactions with an ant hill, most would pass by without much notice. Some may want to study us for the sake of knowledge, others may want to study us to see how to best eliminate us. Hmmm, I thought I saw these videos at least a year ago.
In one of the videos, the pilots were using a flir pod attached to the side of an F-18. The Flir pods have been in use since the 1980’s. With great success I might add. Other newer models of Flir pods are being used as well.
If the pilots can lock on to something and track it with both a Flir pod and with their radar, I’d have to say that something was out there.

I have always though that the government has with held info on UFOs to prevent the undermining of religion and its a ability to reform and restrain behavior.
I remember like yesterday, I was in Catechism class around Christmas. I was 8. The priest was going on about how Jesus was born to reopen the gates of heaven for humans. I asked a question. Did Jesus then go to Mars, Venus or Mercury to do the same for them? All the kids laughed at me, but the priest had a stunned look on his face. The implication of extra terrestrial life had a profound impact on the organized religions.
Don’t get me wrong, I have a profound respect for Christianity which is based on forgiveness and faith. Much better religion than pagan progressivism which is based on revenge.
Actually I think these were released last year.
If we believe that this is legitimate footage there are 3 possible explanations.
1.) The US government knows what the craft is and controls it. This is meant to intimidate our enemies.
2.) The US government knows what the craft is and does not control it. They believe that our enemies do know what they are or do control them. I can think of no logical reason to release these videos in this case.
3.) The US government does not know what is in these videos and is confident that our enemies don’t either. Releasing the videos may make our enemies think that we DO control them.
So, if it is either #1 or #3....we are trying to intimidate our enemies and the middle of a pandemic is a very logical time to do it.
