Unlike Franken, Biden is a really big name in the Democrat party. It’s hard to believe that they would plan to humiliate him like that. Heck, those guys are still covering for JFK and Bill Clinton.
They don’t need Tara Reade to remove Joe. A team of party elders could have pressured him on health reasons just as well.
I don’t dispute much of the analysis, but I do not think it will be as easy to jettison Joe as many think.
I don’t fear him as a candidate. To put it kindly, he appears to have lost a step. To put it harshly, I think he may have the onset of dementia given that he is often incoherent and prone to bizarre outbursts.
This sexual assault allegation will hurt him. The stench of corruption involving his son and family will hurt him. His record on China will hurt him.
I am still very surprised that the DNC selected Biden, but as the author says.... the field was simply that bad.
The DNC is a mess right now. Tossing the guy who won the established process will create a lot of problems and reveal that their “central committee” controls the party over the voters. I can understand their second thoughts and reservations, but removing him now creates as many problems as it may solve.

1. Biden’s predatory problems were known long before now.
2. Why not dump him for health reasons? It would be much easier and even generate some sympathy from voters.

Sonny Cuomo ended his Presidential campaign with his outburst to get an essential job while people are collecting unemployment.
Fredo building a $multi-million house in the Hamptons during his quarantine doesn’t help.
There is one problem associated with this ploy, and although unpublished you better believe they’re thinking about it: to dump Joe for that reason means that they will ever after be tasked to hold Democrat candidates to the same standards to which they hold Republican candidates. Joe isn’t the only one by a long, long shot.

Gee, ya think so? The Democrats are desperate to get rid of the Handsie Hair Sniffer and THEY are the ones who dug up a 27 year old change. These drip drip drips are warnings to Jill Biden to take Joey home or put him in a home. She is evidently deluding herself into thinking they won’t dump Joey or is holding out for something. Maybe she believes they will retake the Senate and Joey and Dollar Hunter will be spared an indictment. This will be fun to watch, but those who think this woman came forward on her own are way behind the curve. This will be fun to watch because it is a “Tails Trump wins Heads Biden loses.”
I think they will throw him under the bus, but claim it is a medical condition that causes him to withdraw.
Then the fun begins. Do they screw Bernie again? Put Hillary in again? Cuomo? You can’t trust a Sherman oath from a Dem when the party calls. What if Biden plays spoiler by naming a prospective VP ahead of the party coup against him?
