Gotta go with Pretty Woman.
Loving Feeling is a great song but the growl Roy does along with the incessant drum and the guitar work is just too great to not vote for Pretty Woman.

Although I would rather vote “Cryin” #1, I’ll stick with Roy and vote
Pretty Woman

Is Lonely Teardrops from the 60s? Almost. It came out in November, 1958.

Nothing against YLTLF but I will go with a rock song anyday of the week over a slow dance song. But these things are subjective. I also give more credit to artists that actually write their own songs.
To: bagster
Calling shenanigans. There's no way either one of these songs or artists belong even close to the top of a list of the best songs of the sixties.
It's interesting that the two finalists are American songs from 1964, a year in which the pop music scene was dominated by the Beatles and other British invaders.

Although I would rather vote Cryin #1, Ill stick with Roy and vote Although I don't like the song's lyrics and message, "Crying" makes good use of instrumentation and dynamics and is one of the most beautifully arranged songs of the sixties.
