His Democrat Socialism robbed people of their pride, courage, wealth, land, freedom, and destroyed their souls, self-determination, and self-sufficiency
A 2016 BBC documentary titled, The King of Communism – The Pomp and Pageantry of Nicolae Ceausescu, focused on Nicolae Ceausescu and his wife Elena’s cult of personality propaganda that helped maintain his brutal Communist Party dictatorship (1965-1989) in the Socialist Republic of Romania, a tyranny that irreparably damaged the soul of a nation. Sadly, the documentary was celebrated by people who still believe in his misery right up to this day.
Unfortunately, the old communist ideology has been repackaged for Millennials and useful idiots in shiny new wrapping paper, with colorful and expensive free bows, by self-described Socialist Democrats like Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who are so far to the left of the political spectrum that are in danger of falling off the Marxist cart.
Communism has a great future behind it.

I know a Romanian that lived through that time. IF you were a friend of the dictator life was good, you could get healthcare and a job.

I would love to see a juxtaposition of the rhetoric from today’s Democratic candidates, alongside that of Hitler’s campaign speeches.
They are much closer in similarity than most people think. Hitler primarily ran on a Socialist platform. He didn’t talk about Jews, he talked about the German economy.
Read anything by Richard Wurmbrand (a Romanian) and you’ll see how communism operated in Romania and how oppressive it was, down to the smallest detail. Big Brother, period...
I have friends from Romania, they’ve told me stories.
JERRY: (trying desperately to make conversation) So, Ceausescu. He must’ve been some dictator.
KATYA: Oh yes. He was not shy about dictating.
JERRY: He, uh, he must’ve been dictating first thing in the morning. “I want a cup of coffee and a muffin!”
KATYA: And you could not refuse.

I’ve been loaned a book written by a Romanian major general defector (first name is Ion - don’t recall the last name) about the Ceaucescous.
Pretty horrific stuff.
Put a sock in it.
That would be Ion Pacepa. His defection was a major intelligence coup.
Wurmbrand’s most poignant story involved a father and son about to be shot by the communists. The father said, “Hold my hand and I’ll meet you on the other side.”
These Democrats and liberals may or may not understand that this is how it always ends.

I was in Romania a short while after the revolution. NOTHING worked, the work ethic was gone, buildings were left half finished, whole sections of cities were destroyed to make way for huge apartment blocks he wanted everyone to live in, he had built a massive castle for himself in Bucharest, it was a disaster and not one person we found would say anything positive about him.
Yep. That’s him.
Elena Ceausescu was Hillary’s role model.
Through work I have met and become friends with several people from Romania. We have had discussions about communism and capitalism. Each one of them says the idiots who taut Socialism now would last about 10 minutes living under true Socialism.
