Cardinal Dolan will NEVER Excommunicate His Buddy Gov. Andrew Cuomo

Cardinal Dolan sitting elephant-like on Christian hearts and souls, will NEVER excommunicate his buddy Gov. Cuomo

“Please never use the word weigh in when I come on, I’ve asked you to avoid that,” portly Cardinal Timothy Dolan, head of the archdiocese of New York, told Brian Kilmeade in yesterday’s interview on Fox & Friends.

For Christian pro-lifers still reeling in shock that Democrat New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed into law new rules that permit babies to be aborted up to the day of birth, Dolan is an elephant sitting on their hearts and souls.

“When asked whether New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) should be formally excommunicated from the Catholic Church because he signed into law new rules that permit babies to be aborted up to the day of birth—what one bishop has called “infanticide”—New York Cardinal Timothy Dolan said such a step “would be counterproductive.” It would give “ammo to our enemies,” he added. (CNS News, Jan. 28, 2019.)

It may be more about the next census.

Abortion rates for Hispanics are higher than any other group, IIRC. This may be a way to draw them to NYS.

But if it’s just virtue signaling, they’ll rue the day they did it. The BAIPA was and is supported by many who support legal abortion.

WHO will be the Church’s Donald Trump?I've commented once or twice my belief, or rather hope, that Cardinal Burke will be the church's Trump but I'm open to other candidates.

As a Catholic, this cuts me to the core.

While I am not in Dolan archdiocese nor New York state, my own Archbishop remains silent on this issue.

I have to re-evaluate everything.

Pray with me, please.

Dear Lord,

Considering this bill in New York, the people involved, and the Church leadership, what shall I do? Please show me the way!

Amen

If Dolan won’t deal with the evil Cuomo, God will.

I wonder what the response to Fredo’s treachery would be from Bishop Fulton J. Sheen...

The American RCC is dead. What we see now is the twitching of the corpse as rigor mortis sets in.

I think from a purely Theological point of view, yes he is Catholic, by virtue of the Sacrament of Baptism. Theologically, their is a indelible spiritual mark on the Soul. So those Catholics who know the faith must be consistent. Even Andrew Cuomo, who is obviously at best a luke-warm Catholic or even one who is a bad Catholic, is still Catholic.

But it’s so much more than just Dolan. Some, a minority, of US Bishops and Cardinals have called for his Cuomo’s excommunication.

Most have remained silent, like my Archbishop, Archbishop Thomas J. Rodi.

You’d think he’d at least make a statement.

But what did Jesus say of the “lukewarm”?

Douay-Rheims Bible, Revelation 3 14-22

Message to the Church in Laodicea

And to the angel of the church of Laodicea, write: These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, who is the beginning of the creation of God:

I know thy works, that thou art neither cold, nor hot. I would thou wert cold, or hot. But because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold, not hot, I will begin to vomit thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest: I am rich, and made wealthy, and have need of nothing: and knowest not, that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked. I counsel thee to buy of me gold fire tried, that thou mayest be made rich; and mayest be clothed in white garments, and that the shame of thy nakedness may not appear; and anoint thy eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. Such as I love, I rebuke and chastise. Be zealous therefore, and do penance. Behold, I stand at the gate, and knock. If any man shall hear my voice, and open to me the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that shall overcome, I will give to sit with me in my throne: as I also have overcome, and am set down with my Father in his throne. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith to the churches.

The Catholic Church helped Nazis escape Europe, why wouldn’t they give baby killers a pass?

"I am lamenting this question, not attacking good Catholics in asking this."

I'm a non-practicing Catholic. Have been for a very long time. I pray to the Lord every day, but I don't go to mass, and haven't been to confession in many years. The fact that the Church is willing to look the other way on this, and other issues, gives me even less of a reason to go to church. I can speak to God on my own, and confess my sins to him, and ask for his forgiveness myself. If the Church will not stand up for what is right, then why should I support it in any way?

I go to a Baptist church in Scranton. Anyone who believes in the slaughter of human beings in the womb has torn up his or her Christianity card, in my view. To my knowledge, not one of us believes in this savagery.

My good friend Joe feels the same way, as a former altar boy. He loathes “Pope” Francis and what he stands for. My wife, on the other hand, goes every week, b/c she believes her attendance is about serving God and not some sin apologists in the Church.
She too, BTW, says that this pseudo-Pope makes her sick.

I’m with you on the current Pope. I can’t even bring myself to name him. When he first became Pope, I prayed for him, but I can no long do that. Instead, I pray every day for Pope Benedict XVI. For me, he is still my Pope.

Is any evil but powerful leftist ever excommunicated? I doubt Nancy Pelosi would be excommunicated if she performed an illicit public abortion by herself.
