I’ve described CNN’s Jim Acosta in the past as more of an activist than a journalist.
And why wouldn’t I? Acosta beclowns himself repeatedly in his attempts at gotcha moments with President Donald Trump or Press Secretary Sarah Sanders.
It always ends in sadness…for Acosta anyway. For the rest of us, watching the smug White House correspondent fall figuratively flat on his face is somewhat refreshing.
On Wednesday, we got another such moment, when Acosta invited on a friend of Christine Blasey Ford’s, Samantha Guerry, to talk about Ford’s sexual assault allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
Acosta and Guerry discussed first how this is an “agonizing period” for Ford and that she didn’t want to be the center of attention. She went on to claim that Ford would be forced to appear in public “in front of thousands of cameras and people,” which is false as Republicans offered her a private testimony. As the Daily Wire notes, Acosta did not bother to correct her.
Finally getting down to the meat of the interview, Acosta asked Guerry if she had heard anything from Ford about Kavanaugh’s sexual assault. The answer was “no.”

Guerry: Absolutely, it’s not the first time I’ve heard anything like that in terms of the community of women I know, and not regarding him but —
Acosta: Those sorts of things went on?
Guerry: A lot … You know, one of the things that’s surprising to me as I’ve gotten involved in this in the last couple days is how many women of my class have come forward to me in this last few days and said, “I had similar experiences in high school,” and this hits me very deeply and it’s very —
ACOSTA: Not with Brett Kavanaugh, but with other boys?
GUERRY: Not with Brett Kavanaugh. But with other boys in our community, and we all feel that if we were in her shoes, we’d want to be taken seriously as well.
Swing and a miss, Acosta.
The best that a friend of Ford’s can muster is that she’s heard of it happening in that school. Not Kavanaugh doing it, but that it happens.
At this point, Democrats are wasting time and embarrassing themselves. Few believe the accusations, even among the HuffPo audience.
CNN is only one component of this year’s high-tech lynching.
Guys grope girls? Who knew? Heterosexuality was rampant in 1982.

It’s one thing for a grown man, in a position of power, to abuse a woman who is dependent on her job. It’s quite another for a teenage grope session.
If this keeps up no man will be willing to ever date any woman for fear they willl have their lives ruined. Women are making a very drab and lonely future for themselves.
When you bring someone on TV who is supposed to corroborate your political smear, and she doesn't corroborate anything.
I don't know that the obaove is that incriminating.
To be incriminating the recording would have to include the strategy.
Of course the were willing to do almost anything, they are still peed about Garland.

The wheels are coming off the Ford so there will surely be another allegation of several very soon. If the Democrats can overwhelm with fictional tales and accusations the theory is that there is so much smoke there must be a raging fire ignoring that the smoke is manufactured. It doesn’t even matter if the allegations are universally known to ba false.There is no price to be paid by the allegators in that swamp.

Never mind that it was Biden and another Dem (I cannot remember which one right now) that said, back in 1991, that NO PRESIDENT, IN A PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION YEAR, SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO NOMINATE TO THE SUPREME COURT! They were afraid that GHWB might get another chance to nominate to the Supreme Court and would have opposed even the opportunity. But when their words came back in the Spring of 2016, the Dems pitched a fit. IF WE,THE PEOPLE, HAD WANTED GARLAND ON THE SCOTUS, HILLARY WOULD HAVE WON THE ELECTORAL COLLEGE. Period.
This is a forum compromised of older generations. Groping for the younger generations in some schools is like a silly joke. No one is raising an eyebrow.
When our side suggest young men and women 'follow the rules of Western Civilization - we're laughed at and mocked... They can't have it both ways...

a girl who goes willing to a party at some unknown house, and struts around in her swim suit and drinks until she can't remember anything and has a very dubious sexual history to boot...probably should not be bringing up crap 36 yrs later..
