A complete lack of intellectual diversity on most college campuses around America
For 20 years or so, I had the good fortune of being a college professor. I started out as an adjunct instructor in 1996 teaching in an evening adult education program for a prominent Colorado private university. From that humble beginning, I eventually found myself, at various stages of my academic career, an assistant professor, a department chair, a center director, a tenured full professor and a dean. I plied my wares on many campuses and in various modalities, but for the most part I took my turn with the 8:OO AM class in basic economics. Trust me, that is a challenge of the highest order. For the most part the academic world treated me pretty well, which may seem a bit surprising given my political views. I was blessed with working for great campus administrators and had colleagues, for the most part, who were more interested in education than in indoctrination. Since leaving the academy, however, I have become alarmed at what may have been there all alonga complete lack of intellectual diversity on most college campuses around America.
It’s more than a ‘lack of diversity’- they actively seek out to remove conservatives. And only hire ‘fellow travelers’
This goes down to public schools too - not just high school but middle school and elementary school.
I know one Republican teacher (the only outspoken one) at my daughters school who was laid off due to ‘budget cuts’ when they were actually hiring more liberal teachers.

Diversity means hate Whitey, blame Whitey for all the evils in the world, push for the elimination of Whitey, act to take all of Whitey’s money before eliminating him.
It goes back at least as far as the 80s. As I was completing my BA in History, a professor asked me what I planned to do. I said I was considering going on to grad school and then teaching. He stopped me right there and told me flat out that I’d never be hired because my politics were wrong.
I should clarify — my politics were “wrong” in the context of “not what they would be looking for”. The professor was not indicating personal disagreement with my politics (although he did disagree with my politics).
For my take on "Diversity:" Diversity In Context.
The irony is that they have about come full circle. But that is what happens when Libs push issues.
Eighty years ago, they were pushing for desegregation. Then came diversity. Now, many of them are pushing for segregation by classroom, by subject, by group, by institution.
Then, in another 80 to 100 years, the Libs will be rioting for desegregation — again.
And the cycle on race relations continues — primarily by the race-mongers who benefit from aggravation and agitation.
I had a similar experience in the early 70s, in grad school. I was in a ‘community/junior college teaching’ program.
One day in class, the prof spanned the classroom of about 25 grad students and stated that the black females (2 in class) would have no problem getting jobs when they graduated. The black males (3) would also find jobs, especially in physical ed and arts/humanities. The remaining females (15 or so) would likely also find welcoming arms when job searching.
As for the 5 of so non-black males (included me), we would find it very difficult to find jobs less we were in a very specialized field.
I recalled sending applications to community/junior colleges from Alaska to Florida and California to New Hampsire. I got a total 3 interviews and no job offers.
Me too. Politics were a nuisance back when I got mine, I can remember a couple of kids who got internships due to their minority status. Women at my engineering school got a free ride, but there were so few who took advantage of it that it wasn't a problem - standards hadn't been dumbed down yet, and profs weren't afraid to flunk kids out regardless of what they looked like. Some in fact, took great satisfaction in it - I know one prof who gleefully washed me out of his course.
Now? I wonder. The materials I get from my school show the engineers as being made up of good-looking blond women and minority men. Maybe an old white emeritus prof for gravitas. I'm betting that reality is different, but pasty white bespectacled nerds who don't get out very often, aren't as photogenic.
leftist academics dont believe in political diversity.
It will be time for such bigots to go, in America.
