It seems like every week, there’s a new story of a female high school or even middle school teacher who has been arrested for engaging in relations with one of her students.
The women are often young, attractive, and often (seemingly) happily married. It has been happening so frequently that it appears to be a reasonably solid trend, and yet there’s little widespread call to end it.
Selwyn Duke of the New American, in his article, Female Teachers Having Affairs With Young Boys Now a Weekly Occurrence, says that while there are many high-profile cases the media has covered recently, the details of who these women are is unimportant.
“Significant is that theyre part of a larger problem, one defined well by Hofstra University professor Charol Shakeshaft, he says, citing an article from Life Site News in 2011 which said:
Shakeshaft, the researcher of a little-remembered 2004 study prepared for the U.S. Department of Education, [found that] the physical sexual abuse of students in schools is likely more than 100 times the abuse by priests. According to the 2004 study the most accurate data available at this time indicates that nearly 9.6 percent of students are targets of educator sexual misconduct sometime during their school career.
“Note that this scandal has never been sufficiently addressed and thus the abuse continues,” Duke says.
So, why is “Sodom in the schoolhouse,” as Duke puts it?
The reason is simple, and it’s one that we tackle here each and every day. Adults are no longer behaving like adults.
There is one glaring reason that many people don’t spend too much time outraged at the thought of an adult woman having sexual relations with a teenage boy–most people expect the teenage boy is more than thrilled to partake, calling into question whether or not it is abuse.
“Teen boys do have robust libidos (this is related to testosterone level, highest between the ages of 14 and 17), and their temptation is great. Yet a child may also eat sweets for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if you let him. Thats why adults exist. Its their role to establish boundaries,” Duke astutely points out.
“As for the men looking back and remembering how willing theyd have been, they should ponder Edna St. Vincent Millays line, ‘Pity me that the heart is slow to learn What the swift mind beholds at every turn.’ However one feels emotionally, a mature intellect intervenes and understands that the ‘heart is deceitful above all things.'”
These women are adults, put in the charge of children in need of guidance and maturity–not child predators who satisfy entirely godless sexual desires with their immature students who hardly know better.
There is, of course, one final important point that needs to be made. Most–not all, but most–of these incidents are taking place in public schools. Public schools are already full of immoral sexual values being pushed on children at every term. Many public school teachers are already seeping the school experience so much in step, they’re one step short of teaching children how to have sex themselves…so is it any wonder that so many are crossing that final line?
“it was more dangerous for a 37 year old woman to be pregnant.”
They’re too damn cheap to buy batteries?
Exactly!
As for the men looking back and remembering how willing theyd have been, they should ponder Edna St. Vincent Millays line, Pity me that the heart is slow to learn What the swift mind beholds at every turn. However one feels emotionally, a mature intellect intervenes and understands that the heart is deceitful above all things.'
Yeah, most hot-blooded teenage boys look to Edna St. Vincent Millay when faced with a moral dilemma!
Edna St. Vincent Millay's line completely lacks relevance to the supposed scenario: Even a swift mind does not see any unacceptable drawback for the boy - at least in comparison with the obvious bennies for a boy in his late teens of being seduced by an attractive teacher in her mid-20s. Any (long-term, subsequent) disadvantages are outweighed by the (immediate) advantages. Sure, it's tawdry, but the age difference is not a "knock-out criterion." The woman is demonstrating that she is emotionally immature - but so what? If it weren't for the social disapproval and legal sanctions, the woman could not be described as "reckless." She is not manifesting any "crazy" behavior - only callowness.
Being exploited by a worn-out, burnt-out teacher nearing menopause (possibly divorced, possibly with teenage children of her own), however, begins to look like real predation, like real sickness.
Regards,
Yep. No telling how many of those teachers have been paraded by Fox News alone. Hundreds, maybe?
Anyway the answer is because feminism, and because feminism has said for generations that it’s alright for women to be disloyal to marriage and family. The word, misogamy, by the way, means hatred of marriage. The word, misogyny, is a word devised for mockery against marriage.
Now look at our society and what has happened to it. Look at the family backgrounds of the mass murderers. Look at the tantrums on our highways. Look at the attacks against the elderly. Look at the destruction of families around us.
And the heavy partying and drugs between the 1960s and now...? That was for lowering inhibitions to...well, you know.
And look at so many of the people of our country now. Trashed! Lack of fatherly influence!
Because, emotionally, theyre little girls with a grown up sex drive?
No, but you're on the right track. Before women's lib the best job most educated women could get was teaching. So back then we had teachers who were, on average, much more intellectually and emotionally mature. Nowadays teaching is what you go into if you can't find work in your field.
Perhaps that is because the difference between a civilized adult and a self-serving individual has more to do with morality then science.
These teachers are paid to teach, not satisfy their lusts. Fornication is a destructive foundation for a successful family life later on. Nor is it scientific.
It’s just part of modern hookup culture and you’re a bad person if you judge her and disagree with her wanting to explore her self realization. Sarcasm off
Far worse than adults not behaving like adults is that women are acting like men.
A man myself, I subscribe to the “Men are pigs” theory of life.
Women have always been a civilizing influence over men. Women are the civilizing influence in society, and temper men’s vice’s. Schools have been teaching young ladies they are just men with p*ss*s for so long, they have come to believe it, and are no longer the highly moral civilizing force in American society. Oh, many are but many aren’t.
I’m not trying to put the entire blame on women, just explaining the leadership role women have always played in tempering, controlling, and civilizing men so they don’t always play badly with others. We’ve lost that in the modern era along with many other moral attributes we have lost.
The future is not looking good.
Excellent point that shame and stigma are gone and no longer forces for self comtrol. The liberals have convinced many people that they can do anything they want under the sun because either that is their sexual identity, or it is labelled as a “disease”, and you are not responsible for getting a disease.
Stigma and shame ruining your reputation, and disparaging your family name, used to be huge disincentives for giving into the license of temptation.
No longer. Shame no longer exists and everybody can do anything they want any time. And it is approved because it is just “who you are man”.
It's the porn influence.
I’m not buying it. Attractive ladies in their 20’s who just want sex can pick up any 18 year old guy anywhere, anytime. All they have to do is whistle. There is something going on with teachers preying on students. It has to be a control thing. She has all the power. So it is a power trip for her to be completely in control over a man.
Spoken like a true Calvinist.
they are immature, they are having FUN. The boys treat them like they are a goddess. They get complimented. The young lady knows that the young man in question thinks about her 150% of the time, he doesn’t have any thing else going on! Just school.
Some of them are married yes. But their husbands have other responsibilities, like work, maybe school too, so the young girl kinda gets pushed to a lower level of attention.
Newt was learning to screw Democrats-—seems like she was a great teacher.
Of course that would be part of it. These women are tantalized by the misbehavior. Forbidden fruit. All that. But, the atmosphere can be pretty steamy. When I was in HS a female teacher caught one of my classmates masturbating in the classroom during a movie. Sadly for him she was about 60 and so it got him a trip to the Principal’s Office instead of the Teachers’ Parking Lot.
It can't be that high. Because you have so many more students than teachers (say 20:1), wouldn't that suggest that every single teacher would have engaged in sexual misconduct?
Of course, these days "sexual misconduct" could include something as innocuous as "Hi, Mary. How are you today?"
