It seems like every week, there’s a new story of a female high school or even middle school teacher who has been arrested for engaging in relations with one of her students.
The women are often young, attractive, and often (seemingly) happily married. It has been happening so frequently that it appears to be a reasonably solid trend, and yet there’s little widespread call to end it.
Selwyn Duke of the New American, in his article, Female Teachers Having Affairs With Young Boys Now a Weekly Occurrence, says that while there are many high-profile cases the media has covered recently, the details of who these women are is unimportant.
“Significant is that theyre part of a larger problem, one defined well by Hofstra University professor Charol Shakeshaft, he says, citing an article from Life Site News in 2011 which said:
Shakeshaft, the researcher of a little-remembered 2004 study prepared for the U.S. Department of Education, [found that] the physical sexual abuse of students in schools is likely more than 100 times the abuse by priests. According to the 2004 study the most accurate data available at this time indicates that nearly 9.6 percent of students are targets of educator sexual misconduct sometime during their school career.
“Note that this scandal has never been sufficiently addressed and thus the abuse continues,” Duke says.
So, why is “Sodom in the schoolhouse,” as Duke puts it?
The reason is simple, and it’s one that we tackle here each and every day. Adults are no longer behaving like adults.
There is one glaring reason that many people don’t spend too much time outraged at the thought of an adult woman having sexual relations with a teenage boy–most people expect the teenage boy is more than thrilled to partake, calling into question whether or not it is abuse.
“Teen boys do have robust libidos (this is related to testosterone level, highest between the ages of 14 and 17), and their temptation is great. Yet a child may also eat sweets for breakfast, lunch, and dinner if you let him. Thats why adults exist. Its their role to establish boundaries,” Duke astutely points out.
“As for the men looking back and remembering how willing theyd have been, they should ponder Edna St. Vincent Millays line, ‘Pity me that the heart is slow to learn What the swift mind beholds at every turn.’ However one feels emotionally, a mature intellect intervenes and understands that the ‘heart is deceitful above all things.'”
These women are adults, put in the charge of children in need of guidance and maturity–not child predators who satisfy entirely godless sexual desires with their immature students who hardly know better.
There is, of course, one final important point that needs to be made. Most–not all, but most–of these incidents are taking place in public schools. Public schools are already full of immoral sexual values being pushed on children at every term. Many public school teachers are already seeping the school experience so much in step, they’re one step short of teaching children how to have sex themselves…so is it any wonder that so many are crossing that final line?
Because they know that someone will post their story on FR.
My teachers were all nuns...except for Mr Hurley.Of course i wouldn’t have known what to do if it was offered to me...which is probably just as well.
Why Are So Many Female Teachers Having Affairs With Their Students?
Because they can.
I had an English teacher in high school that was literally pregnant all the time. Don’t look at me.
Wondr if Women’s Lib attitudes resulted in earlier sexual activity in girls now and they get hooked on young boys like some guys get hooked on young girls?
Oh come on, there are probably 150,000 female teachers out there and half a dozen or a dozen having affairs with their students is “so many”? Not saying it isn’t weird.
In my academy, unbelievably more than half were more than 5 of 10 on the score scale. The youngest was 25 fresh from college, super cute and she was like a piece of meat being lowered to a group of hungry sharks.
And yeah, we had 2 affairs going on and those 2 classmates of mine continued the relationship after graduation. I think one of them married the teacher at the 10 year reunion.
I have no comment other than I wish my teachers were young 26 year old babes instead of the 60 year old hags I had.
As for the article, it offers very little scientific observations but rather keeps pointing towards moralistic shortcoming as judged by the author rather than a physiological or psychological basis for behavior.
Didn’t there used to be a naughty teacher ping list here?
The article and the alleged study seems like pure nonsense.
I really wouldn’t know.
“Why are teachers having affairs with with students?”
Well it’s obvious -—— They’re TEACHERS!
I didn't know it was a formal ping list. I just assumed it was a popular topic of interest, along with the guilty/not guilty review.
The article and the alleged study are nonsense. But i guess thats what you get when you go to sites like Activist Mommy for news and current events.
There seems to be a failure among these teachers to;
“Add It Up”

“Many public school teachers are already seeping the school experience so much in step...”
That’s gone beyond nonsense, straight to gibberish.
When I was in 10th grade (1969), we had a first year English teacher, who didn’t look hardly any older than her students. It didn’t take long before it was known she was screwing several of the guys. When we came back from Thanksgiving she was no longer there. The word was that they had revoked her license to teach. I also know that my brother had a fling with his English teacher back in 1963. I think it just gets covered more, and with the internet, instagram, etc., the rumors spread like wildfire all over the country.
I was expecting the usual answer: MEN.
Do you suppose there would be a widespread call to end it, if men were doing it?
