Vanity - Trump Critics
3/24/18 | self

Posted on 03/24/2018 12:41:45 PM PDT by Moe-Patrick

To the Freepers blaming Trump for the Omnibus: Please state what he should have done including the aftermath. Many wanted a veto, but never address the subsequent steps necessary for a ‘win’.

I love Free Republic and the thoughtful, intelligent commentary. Yet I was stunned to see so many comment on various posts with such little insight. Trump cannot write legislation nor can he make politicians do anything. What role do voters play? It seems that most expect Trump to fix everything while we as voters do nothing. We voted for the uniparty. We don’t march on Washington, we send our kids to propaganda schools and colleges, we don’t show up period. What are you doing personally to fight and win?

Proper perspective, saying Merry Christmas was hate speech before Trump. Isis attacks were normalized. The only immigration reform being offered was legalizing 11 million. Trump won despite the media, uniparty, FBI, DOJ, criminal investigation, wiretapping, Bush dynasty, Clinton dynasty, illegal voting, and indoctrinated voters. The argument isn’t about Trump’s missteps or wins, it is about saving this country. Trump is the only person fighting to turn it around.

For those still playing armchair quarterback vowing to not vote in 2020, imagine Trump quitting tomorrow, Pence stepping up, or whomever. And play that scenario out. What would change? Would the Congress suddenly become Conservative? Would they repeal Obamacare? Would they build a wall? Would they nix Planned Parenthood? Would they cut spending? Would they balance trade? Would they deal with Iran and NK or appease them? Would they deport DACA recipients plus the 11 million? Would they fight media? Would they fight the progressives openly and loudly? Would they fight for the party?

In summary, Trump can only be as Conservative as the bills handed to him. If you want Conservative bills, attack those writing them. Trump is not God. Be a part of the solution.

“He looked like a simpering weakling for the first time in his adult life.”

Absolutely not true.

See post 7.

He signed a bill he hadn’t read. That’s not even good business. That is what you do when they have kicked your a$$

Hmmm, if Trump fights the deep state I am with him. If not I’m not. He should know by now that we are in a war with the Marxists. Maybe he can turn this around, I sure hope so. But he has to start fighting and Sessions needs to get into the game too.

“He simply did the easy swamp thing and sold out all of us who had faith he would be a different kind of president. I agree that he should resign.”

Don’t be stupid. And read post 7.

This incident has just provided another opportunity for more latent #NeverTrumpers to expose themselves.

President Trump is in the midst of fighting off a Deep State coup attempt, for God's sake—and weak-minded sunshine patriots say they're now going to withdraw their support? What an absolute joke;this is an utter failure to keep things in their proper perspective.

JimRob himself has stated that #NeverTrump clowns are not welcome on FR. I share that sentiment.

Anyone who has formally withdrawn their support for President Trump as a result of signing this 6-month spending bill is now a newly minted #NeverTrumper—by their own admission and declaration.

There are many sites around the internet where Trump-bashers—who have now abandoned the President—can self-indulgently engage in their circle jerks of #NeverTrump banter. I daresay that FR isn't one of them.

To reiterate: make no mistake. If you've abandoned your support for President Trump as a result of this incident—and several Freepers have made such statements—you're now a #NeverTrumper. If you don't support President Trump going forward, what else could you be?

I disagreed with the President signing this bill—but he still has my support. Therein lies the difference. Others have now chosen the #NeverTrump path. There is no middle ground. Everyone can disagree with the President on this issue or that, but—in general—you're either with President Trump, or you're against him. You're either with President Trump, or you're #NeverTrump.

There's a God d-mn coup on! Against that backdrop, one sh-tty 6-month spending bill pales in comparison. Those who are toying with the sunshine patriot game need to put down the #NeverTrump crack pipe and get a grip on objective, practical reality.

Again, I'm not talking about those who are angry with the President—I'm talking about those who have joined the #NeverTrump ranks by formally declaring the withdrawal of their support for the man moving forward. They know who they are, and they should be ashamed of themselves...

We need a Congress full of Trumps. Pres Trump is fighting a 24/7/365 360 degree fight against the swamp. That he has accomplished anything is amazing. When it’s within his power to act alone (TTP, climate agreement, judicial nominations, et al) he’s been nearly perfect. When he has to cooperate with swamp entities, the results are mixed.

This no time to run out on him. It’s time, in fact, to elect a Congress worthy of him. Elect a Congress full of Trumps!!

now would be better off without Trump.

You've only a handful of posts in 2018 and before that ya last posted in 2015. In fact I don't think you posted once during the entire election.

But now you're all in to dump Trump. That seems a bit odd.

Trump can’t win them all. It’s amazing he’s managed to win as much as he has. Oh well, as U.S. Grant said after a particularly bloody battle in the Civil War, “We’ll lick’em tomorrow.”

1. Veto.
2. Government “shuts down” and non-essential (approx. 15%) employees go home.
3. Leave it shut down and no back pay...automatic 15%+ real cut in discretionary spending.

What real-world entity has “non-essential” employees, anyway.

How did he lose? And how will he lose his job?

He is 1/3 of the government and he signed on with the legislative branch. The framers gave him the power of veto for a reason. The fact is he signed a bill he said he hadn’t read. That is unacceptable.

The problem is who else would be any better? Certainly none of the 15 or so he defeated in 2016. And any other ‘outsider’ would face the same deep state/establishment opposition.

Yet, 75% of the voters will vote for the incumbent House and Senate candidates ‘representing’ their states, as they vote for the same and expect a different result.

And most assuredly, the Dem nominee will be one of the Leftist Progressive Radicals.

President invoked his right to spend the money however he needs to, so that is why he signed, no need to read.

See WH letter link on this thread, it was sent to Congress night before (3/23/2018), Trump signed.

That is a joke. What he signed yesterday will superseed that, if it is even real. You can bet the house on it.
