It’s about time!
GOP House Representative Paul Gosar will file treason charges against the collaborators who have attempted to overthrow President Trump in a soft coup.
He claims that their actions were not only illegal but constituted an attempted coup of a sitting US president using false dossier information that they knew was really opposition research (lies) paid for by Hillary Clinton and the DNC.
He is seeking charges against former FBI Director James Comey, former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe, former Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.
Gosar said:
“The FBI knowingly took false information from the Democratic National Committee and the Hillary Clinton campaign and then used it to smear Donald Trump in order to hurt his campaign.”
“The full-throated adoption of this illegal misconduct and abuse of FISA by James Comey, Andrew McCabe, Sally Yates and Rod Rosenstein is not just criminal but constitutes treason.”

You would have found zero members of the constitutional conventiod stupid enough to buy the notion that another political entity could declare war on The United States, and we could have our military engaged in combat with a credible military force belonging to thaat entity...but unless congress declared it was a war it wouldn’t be a war.

Giving Congress the sole power to declare war was intended to stop Presidents from initiating war. The authors of the Constitution never imagined a population or a government so obtuse as to deny we are also legitimately at war when our forces are attacked.

It’s about time congress uses treason word. If someone doesn’t take action soon our 3rd world status will be cemented in place.
Because Congress is the LEGISLATIVE branch of the government.
Congress is not a Star Chamber and is not a Grand Jury, its members cannot charge anybody with anything, and this constant BS grandstanding by people who should know better is ridiculous.

Gosar isn’t a lawyer either, and there are no legal “charges”. Gosar is writing a letter to Jeff Sessions. That’s it.

Members can call for a special prosecutor and mandate that charges of treason be brought against the parties in question.
Representative Gosar and all members in oversight of federal government can call for filing charges of treason. Members can vote bills to hold DOJ officials in contempt who do not file such charges unless before the committees an adequate explanation is provided.
