Last Monday far left attorney Gloria Allred held a press conference with Beverly Nelson in New York City.
Allred and Nelson accused Republican Roy Moore of attempted rape 38 years ago.
We now know that EVERY SINGLE DETAIL of their public accusation was a LIE.
[Snip]
From the report:
- The Olde Hickory House required employees to be at least 16. Beverly Nelson claims she was 15 when she started.
- The restaurants dumpsters were on the side of the building and not in back as Nelson claimed.
- A former employee says the restaurant NEVER closed at 11 PM as Nelson claimed and at midnight on most nights.
- Customers at the counter were served by the bartender or cook and not by any waitress.
- The witnesses claim they have shared this information with several news outlets but they have refused to report the truth!
[Snip]
Isnt it about time to arrest and press charges Gloria Allred?

I doubt there is enough here to actually land her in prison. For damned sure she should be disbarred.

Roe v Wade was in 1973. Allred took Norma McCorvey (Roe) as a client in 1989.
Not defending Allred, just posting for accuracy.

Seems to me the she hs violated federal election laws, fraudulent interferenceA few years ago, the Democrats were running blatantly false radio ads against a local Republican running for the U.S. House. I talked on the phone to the station manager about it. He said he understood the ads were false; but they were required to run them anyway because slandering candidates for public office is legal. The person being slandered has no legal recourse except to raise money to run counter-ads. I also spoke to someone in Washington in the Federal Election Commission; and they told me the same thing.

You can represent clients in other jurisdictions by associating yourself with local counsel in that jurisdiction. This practice is almost as common as breathing in the legal profession and there’s nothing unethical about it.

This is false. Nelson claimed 10:00 pm and the former employee said it closed at either eleven or twelve, and twelve on most nights.

It is generally allowed if one appears in court and seeks permission to do so. As my comment stated, this is called making a “pro hac vice” appearance.
I find it curious that Allred frequently flies into a location outside of California and appears in front of a microphone and announces that she is representing someone. Of course, given her ego and the media’s lack of attention, no coverage is given to her local co-counsel, if any exists. Moreover, in numerous cases, no lawsuit actually results. It is all about Allred getting camera time or pushing her political agenda. She is a Democratic party activist after all.
Interestingly, the California State Bar is investigating Allred. We will have to wait and see if any discipline is imposed.
