"But that was before I had read Vick’s federal indictment, and more importantly, before I read “The Lost Dogs: Michael Vick’s Dogs and Their Tale of Rescue and Redemption” by Sports Illustrated writer Jim Gorant, which was published in 2011.

I urge everyone who thinks they know what really happened, or maybe doesn’t even care, to read this book. It’s very hard to read but it’s eye opening. It chronicles the investigation and prosecution of Vick and his cohorts (even bringing him up on charges was a monumental effort on the part of several dedicated lawmen), and the long road to rehabilitation and recovery for the former fighting dogs who survived the nightmare. Some ended up making it, some didn’t.

You will learn things that were not reported in the mainstream media and which the general public still doesn’t know. Based on what was reported, most people think that Vick bankrolled and hosted a dogfighting ring on his property, maybe had some vague involvement with killing the “losing” dogs, but generally had a hands-off relationship with the day-to-day running of Bad Newz Kennels and the brutality it inflicted on the fighting dogs.

Man, the NFL & FOX have a Death Wish!

As for Vick? He can go to Hell where he is eaten alive by dogs and wakes up again the next day to suffer the same fate. For Eternity.

He makes my blood boil!!

Dog fighting is heinous!

My golden retriever was a rescue from a dog fighting ring. The sporting breeds have soft mouths. Animal abusers like, Vick use other dog breeds for their champion Put Bulls first kill.

Bait dogs are not taken very good care of. My rescue Golden had hind end weakness as it spent it’s life growing up in a crate. Only taken out for training to fight. They have to give their champion some competition, don’t ya know! Fortunately he was rescued before his murder. I got him at 2 years old. The rescues org worked tirelessly but he still had PTSD. Could not cope real well around other dogs. Are you getting this ugly picture?

Vick deserves a place in hell.

LE busted a dog fighting ring near Holly Springs, Mississippi, (Sheppard Smith’s hometown) and over 100 men were arrested with many hitting the woods running. All were of the same race.

From the Article: If you’ve read up to this point and you’re still okay with Fox Sports hiring Michael Vick as an on-air analyst, I guess just do nothing. But if you’re not okay with it, this online petition on Change.org addressed to the head of Fox Sports so far has almost 80,000 signatures.

I don't care enough about Fox Sports to sign the petition. Anybody that would hire this evil killer of innocent animals is as bad as he is. The fact that it even requires a petition shows how unredeemable the NFL and their enablers are.

This dude personally slammed dogs into the ground and killed others with his bare hands IIRC.

In any case, he gives truth to Kaepernick’s lie.

1. Vick is way blacker
2. Vick was more talented
3. Vick outperformed Colon

Despite being a convicted felon and a dog murderer, he was a draw for his team and was hired.

Colon is past his “Best if Used by” Date...

What the heck is wrong with Fox????

I don’t have children anymore but how on earth do parents explain this type of thing to kids?

Do they just say,”Crime does pay,and pays very well”?

.

Michael Vick was a successful quarterback?

How many Super Bowl rings did he win?

Wow...Vick was the final straw for me ever buying a Nike product again and now this. I used to like the Bradshaw Long etc pre half and post game stuff from Fox but I was only the most casual of casual fans. In the last few years my NFL viewing was close to zero so this just reinforces my current level of interest forcing it closer and closer to the zero mark.

Fox Sports is beyond contempt to hire this guy, nuff said.

If you remember, the NFL let this guy come back and play for like 5 years. All under the auspices of the usual, “Everyone deserves another chance” and “He knows what he did was wrong and is rehabilitated....” cliches. Some of which, I admit, I may have even fell for.

Two questions for the NFL now, though:

1. If this guy had been a good, but not great back-up lineman, would he still have gotten another chance??
2. In light of this really disturbing stuff, you were ok with Vick coming back, but not Ray Rice or (dare I say) Kaepernick?

Both of which the NFL was right to exile I believe, just to be clear.

And then he served time in jail. America believes in the redemptive arc, when you’re done with your time it’s in the past. Which means you can get jobs again.

I’d like to batter his bloodied soft and tenders in bacon fat... Second thought, hire that part out. Then, let a few possums snack on them overnight.

If dogs go to heaven, I want to be with them.

Vicks personally hung and electrocuted dogs who lost. In Texas volunteering for animal, have seen dogs used for fighting brought in. Vicks should rot in Hell. No mercy.

Controversial Dog Fighting ‘Art’ Funded by Taxpayers

Petion:Promote Cruelty-Free Exhibits at the Guggenheim

"In one example, artists Peng Yu and Sun Yuan tether four pairs of American pit bulls to eight wooden treadmills for a live exhibit.

The dogs are faced off against one another, running "at" each other but prevented from touching one another, which is a stressful and frustrating experience for animals trained to fight.

The dogs get wearier and wearier, their muscles more and more prominent, and their mouths increasingly salivate.

At this live 2003 "performance" in China, a video was recorded, complete with close-up shots of the dogs' frantic, foaming faces.

This 7-minute video will be on display at the Guggenheim exhibit"
