A group of anti-Confederate protesters arent happy enough with the declaration by the city of Memphis that it wants to dig up and move the remains of Confederate general Nathan Bedford Forrest.
They want it done now.
A group surrounded a shovel Wednesday and ceremoniously removed a chunk of grass and soil.
We are going to bring the back hoe, the tractors and the men with the equipment to raise Bedford Forrest from the soil of Memphis, Isaac Richmond with the Commission on Religion and Racism declared to awaiting TV cameras, CBS 3 reported.

The times, much simpler then even with the Cuban Missile Crisis and an abundance of nuclear bomb shelters being sold.
Most of Texas worried about tornadoes rather than Cuba and bombs, though we did have the ‘drills’ in school frequently consisting of the exact same methods should either catastrophic event occur. DUH?!
A step up from Red Ryder BB gun? :-)
You are correct there was no politicking on Johnny’s show. Always a gentleman. If any racist views were shown those would only be the animosity between north and south not between black and white. Those he met were still fighting the war in their imagination.
BTW - didn’t you just covet Bat Masterson’s cane? He was a dandy, dapper man. :-)
My GGGrandfather was a Confederate cavalryman with Nathan Bedford Forest.
Where is ML King buried?

“... Adventures in Paradise Gardner McKay as Adam Troy.”
My late father’s favorite.

Grave robbing is illegal in some states.
I preferred Bat Masterson’s Colt Sheriff’s Model sixgun.
A nice looking young man and he had a really nice ship
Wikipedia noted he was an author as well.. didn’t know that!
His bio shows him in many movies but all that is remembered is “Adventures in Paradise” on the ship named the Tiki; good looking sailor, ship, great music and scenery.
