I never thought such a thing could exist, but here’s a Ted Talk that is worthless

It’s given by a woman with a Ph.D. in history who complains that she can’t find a husband who is taller than herself.

Ps; I'm 6'-3". My first Wife was 5'-5" and my late Wife was 5'-10".

It's not the height. It's the person.

I stopped watching after this woman explaining why she masturbated as a lifestyle. It got really weird. The point of privacy in health is to prevent an enemy (government) from knowing your weak points just like a hunter is more effective knowing where the deer’s heart is located at. This is why Adam and Eve were provided fig leaf.

Thus sin makes us enemies of ourselves in manipulating our own bodies and I think this rationalization is the most effective form of brainwash, because one does it to himself or herself. I understand women should know their own bodies, bit it is oxymoronic to ignore the rest of the body and target its weaknesses as a result of this knowledge. This can lead to a form of self hate that seem to be self love in indulgence.

Bingo. As someone said, she is a vulgar princess who wonders why men are not attracted.

Not sure where this sense of “man entitlement” comes from. Imagine a dude saying he cannot find a woman to screw with.

That is a sad story. REAL refugees where only individuals help one another even that Chinese cop helped her. All this while fake Islamic refugees are flooding western borders.

A woman’s opportunities for marriage decline when she’s over 30. It’s statistical!

Apparently, despite her Ph.D., she can’t figure out that she is fat. Try dropping fifty pounds, dropping the confrontational entitled attitude, and wearing a dress.

Bingo!

She wants him taller than her. And if a man wants a wife with big boobs, he’s an obnoxious man. Got it.

And I want a woman who weighs less than me, but that makes me a bad guy.

Wow! Evidently, the Ted Talks people didn’t preview this talk. Bet she was never invited back. Excellent info!

She has a Ph.D.... in history.

...history.

History is one of the few courses of study that lends almost exclusively to teaching.

She’s not exactly gross, but she does have that bottle-of-cheap-red-every-night look to her. I say she’s got 30 to lose. She’s tall.

That is my feeling as well. Even the ones that I thought focused on interesting situations or solutions devolved into leftist virtue signaling fantasies.

Which is too bad. The subject matter was often interesting (I haven’t watched one in a long time)

Yes, the founders laxed the standards and many of the talks are politicized.

The colleges can hold their own local Ted Talks under the brand. So all the leftist professors get their chance to speak and build their resume.

Tell me about it. But a great personal story though. Wound up Dick Stolt got word of her talk and they did re-unite. Happy ending for all, in that one case at least.

Around 2000, when Gore was attending, nearly every single talk referred to global warming. Even if they were doing a juggling act or talking about quantum physics, they managed to work global warming into the talk.

Still happening today, only slightly less ridiculous and they are saying “climate change” instead of “global warming”.

I think it would be hilarious to make some graphs of the percentage of talks that mentioned particular words, especially when those words had zero direct connection to the topic.

I can think with that, but 31 isn't exactly 'over the hill'. I was a bachelor in my early thirties, and remember courting quite a few ladies in my age group.

I challenge the concept there are useful TEDs, they’re all basic motivational speaking BS, filled with noise and encouragement, and 20 minutes later you’ve moved on with life.

The problem for women is that, by 30 most of the good men are taken. Women will not be happen with a man unless he is taller than her, at least as well educated, and earning at least as much. If you are a professional careerwoman, your choices are limited.

For single men, though, 30 is a happy hunting ground. If you are tall, reasonably good looking, and have a professional career, you are all set. Yes, you can court ladies of 30, but your options extend down to ladies in their early 20s (and most of them will be single). Yes you can date women of equal professional attainment, but you have the option of dating down.

A professional man who marries a waitress who is younger, cute, and affectionate can be happy. A professional women who marries a man who is a waiter will be laughed at by her peers, and will be miserable.
