What's your least favorite Christmas song?

I'm just curious about what songs at Christmas time make you change the station or jump the track on that cd.

“The Little Drummer Boy” seems about 12 minutes long and monotonous to me. There was a radio station that overplayed Elvis Presley singing “Blue Christmas” every year to the point I would switch stations when it came on.

I’m Dreaming of a Trump Christmas, just like the ones I used to know!

“Holiday Inn,” with Fred Astaire and Bing, was in 1942.

Red Sovine’s “Faith in Santa” is seriously depressing...

“An Old-Fashioned Christmas.” First Heard it on Alan Colmes’s radio show. 1975. The worst of all years. Linda Bennett.

You hit in my most detested Christmas song—Bruce Springsteen’s “Santa coming to Town”. First of all, I’ve never gotten the “Boss”-he’s a mediocrity..but years ago Books a Million played the song over and over—all he did was screech the title over and over. This song sent me out of the store—TORTURE

Jingle Bells, by any artist. It is insufferably overplayed.

I agree. You can’t go wrong with these four: Frank Sinatra. Nat King Cole. Bing Crosby. Burl Ives.

Yep, that's all good. I have my Pandora app open and playing the Bing Crosby holiday channel. Naturally the "music genome project" casts a wider net, but so far it's stayed with the traditional performers.

Anything Alvin the chipmunks are singing...UGH..!!

I consider Alvin, Simon and Theodore to be one tier (or more) above the likes of John Lennon, Bruce Springsteen and John Cougar Mellonhead.

“I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas. “

My goodness, how I hate that tune. The Fifties had some truly bizarre "novelty" songs, but that one makes me reach for the channel selector instantly.

That’s tough. So many of them are so horrible. In the end though “Baby it’s Cold Outside” (aka the date rape song) is probably the worst.

193 posts and no “Please, Daddy (don’t get drunk this Christmas)” cover by John Denver. By contrast, I love his “Christmas for Cowboys”

John Lennon - Happy XMas

I absolutely hate that song. I can stand listening to almost any Christmas Song except that one.

It’s called Happy XMas (War is Over), and I absolute hate that song. If they cut out the BS “War Is Over” it would be tolerable.

I’m not a fan. I’ll stick with Nat King Cole, but thanks

Loved Bing. And Burl Ives knew my mom. So that’s a cool family connection.

Either that John Lennon thing about how you're bad for enjoying Christmas because starving kids in the part of hell that extrudes onto the earth's surface like a big giant pimple Africa, or that one that starts with "last Christmas I gave you my heart".
