Of course.
Dan, you have no evidence whatsoever that ESPN fired them because of their Christianity.
Youre right. I dont. Its possible they didnt and I certainly cant prove they did. But heres what I do know: ESPN has already proved it will fire people who are outspoken in the expression of views that dont comport to the left-wing worldview that ESPN either a) holds; or b) intends to appease at every opportunity.
Where is Lorette Lynch on religious discrimination?
I wouldn’t call them outspoken Christians lol.
ESPN is hard-left. They worship Title IX and give hero awards to men in dresses.
ESPN is cleaning house of anyone who has normal values!
I dont know why anyone should be surprised, BSPN gave an award to a man who wears a dress, calls himself a “woman” but refuses to cut off his pecker..that is considered a “hero” in ESPN’S world
Espn hired Ray Lewis after the whole nightclub stabbing thing and were fine with that, but calling out Black Lives Matter is a bridge too far?
ESPN has gone to crap.
Au Contraire!
This IS the new normal the “Progressives” force upon us.
Geez I remember when they all loved Lewis.
Right now, the greatest need is the coming election. But from a long-run perspective, it would be very good if those being fired by ESPN—it seems someone every week lately—for not cow-towing to a bizarre view of human sexuality—would get together and try to interest major investors in providing meaningful competition to ESPN. They surely are misusing their position as a sports venue, when they try to dictate very, very strange social values.
Overpriced, overtly leftist ESPN is not welcome in my house. I heard they are losing money too. Sux that they gobbled up MNF but I dont watch unless its free at a hotel.
Steven A. Smith must be next. He’s pretty outspoken with respect to personal responsibility and own up to one’s stupid actions and not blaming it on someone else or some perceived injustice.
C’mon Man!
They respectively went through being along for the ride and plausibly an accessory to a man’s murder, and on the road to death by OD or at best expulsion from the league, and came out the other side loudly and consistently giving all credit to God. No one can know how sincere either of them is, or whether ESPN decided it was time to bring on younger replacements their audience can better identify with, but both men have their Amazing Grace story to tell and have been telling it.
Just a few months back, it was ‘Everybody Loves Ray Lewis”, now this. ESPN needs competition.
espn continues to be a drag on Disney’s stock price.
Where are the shareholders?
Disney blew their succession plan.
Disney is torching espn.
Disney is planning on torpedoing Marvel in the name of PC.
The ‘Rev Ray’ Lewis as a player was practically preaching the gospel in the football huddles yet the lamestream leftists excoriated Tim Tebow for his one knee prayer pose. Hypocrites— and nothing wrong at all with Rev Ray’s on field sermons.
I’m from Baltimore and a ravens fan. However, Ray was a bad commentator and I think he got fired because the viewers were worn out by his over the top intensity, no more no less.
That said, I’d hate to be the poor s.o.b. that had to fire him. Ray is a scary guy up lose.
