In light of all the controversy surrounding the Cruz Colorado voterless win. We find that Trump would have won Colorado quite easily.
If a Republican Presidential Primary Election were to take place in Colorado, 44% of likely voters would vote for Donald Trump, 34% support Ted Cruz, 17% support John Kasich and 5% are undecided.
When asked to choose between only Ted Cruz or Donald Trump, 48% support Trump and 42% support Cruz, and 10% are undecided.
These results are interesting in light of the results at the Republican State Convention where Ted Cruz won all 34 delegates awarded.
What the results show is a potential disconnect between the more dedicated group of delegates who participated in the state convention and the far broader group of 350,000 to 400,000 Republicans who would typically vote in a primary election.

Shame on you for applauding voterless elections. Quit legitimizing this unscrupulous delegate selection.
Colorado practices subterfuge. CO-2012-Santorum won with 7% of the vote at a real caucus. CO gave his delegates to Romney.<—Sham.
BTW, cross checking the 2012 & 2016 CO delegates and over 1/3 are Romney retreads.
.06% of the Colorado registered voters chose “pre-slated delegates- romneybots who will ditch Cruz in Cleveland.
#StoptheSham
The Cruzlim hyperbole is so over the top that people rightly think you worshippers of Prophet Lying Ted are cultists. Ululating away and barking at the moon.
Maybe all the Cruz delegates are ‘randy’ women in the men’s room smoking Ted.
BusTed!
Site a poll in Hawaii showing Cruz with a big lead.
Colorado was a PR disaster for the GOP and Cruz.
See #19.
She knows the truth, but prefers to lie.
Lyin’Ted ___ Poachin’Ted ___Cheatin’Ted
Great catch!!
I said Trump had it, but Cruz wasn’t whining
You got the sham! Sham is the claim no one voted in CO, every delegate was voted on by those that bothered to attend. Most voters are too lazy to go through all that “delegate stuff”.
You're right. This completely backfired on the GOPe and Cruz. They may have won the battle (for a few delegates) but they took a big step towards losing the war. It was so egregious it was obviously an artificial manipulation worthy of a North Korean or Iraqi dictator. They lost far more base, support, and trust than any comparable handful of delegates. Greedy, strategic idiots. Good riddance. I used to be on the fence, thinking either Trump or Cruz. No longer.
Most of the people commenting do not live in Colorado and are ignoring the facts. After trying to figure out what the title of this tread meant I figured everything else was screwed up.
The Tea Party groups made big gains in the Colorado republican party so I think this is the reason for the misinformation and outright lies on the Colorado process. The Trump people came to the caucuses and asked for the straw poll and when they said there was not one they LEFT!!
Many of the trump people abandoned Colorado then attacked the Tea Party.
No, untrue. CO will have a primary election next year because Coloradans are unhappy with the caucus sham.
Blind voting at the precinct level is not voting. They used subterfuge methods to undermine any support not for Cruz.
The same party elite members screwed over Rick Santorum in 2012. Rick won, SURPRISE—>Mitt gets the delegates! They took any semblance of a real caucus out of the equation 2016 to prevent having to repeat their identical scheme of “voter rip-off” 4 years later.
Here’s the Colorado 2016 Caucus: Wink & choose Mr. Undeclared at your precinct, he will vote for Mr. Unknown to go to the convention, who in turn votes for Teb!

How about addressing my points about this sham Trump propaganda poll?
Donald Ru Paul Trump
Hating the sunshine on your face? or Colorado’s or Ted’s?
Numbers, Statistics, & Facts don’t lie.
Calculate. —>06% of the Colorado republicans voted.
Calculate.—> 100% chose Fedilto Cruz.
Welcome to Havana de Colorado, Senor
According to Google search, HI delegates are 11-7-1 Trump-Cruz-Rubio.
So, no, Hawaii delegates do not appear to have been selected as the result of a deliberate attempt to avoid a specific candidate in the race.
I should have done my homework and not relied on anothers’ post. meaculpa
Nothing to see here...
It was a landslide victory that people should be talking about instead of NY.
The benevolent overlords know best.
Move along...
