As the media seeks to keep a story alive, with the help of Republican establishment figures, and the likes of Mark Levin, the odds of a “Brokered Convention” are evaporating as more analysts show Trump is on track to get 1310 delegates, making him the nominee, regardless of who is on the second ballot.
Even if Trump fails to hit 1237, his team and John Kasichs are now blocking Ted Cruz, and other groups are destroying any chance of a brokered convention.
Ohio Gov. John Kasich got fewer votes than Texas Sen. Ted Cruz in the state’s presidential primary last month, but his Michigan delegation may have more influence at the national convention than Cruz’s camp after forming an alliance with Donald Trump’s campaign.
Kasich’s delegates teamed up Saturday with supporters of GOP frontrunner Donald Trump to deny Cruz’s Michigan delegates any seats on the four committees that will decide the parameters of the Republican National Convention in July.
Michigan’s 59 national convention delegates met Saturday after the conclusion of the Michigan Republican Party’s state convention to elect eight representatives to four powerful committees that decide voting credentials, presidential candidate nominating rules, the party’s platform and convention operations.
Each state or territory gets two representatives on the committees — one man and one woman — at the of the July 18-21 convention in Cleveland.
Trump’s campaign was represented by his 25 delegates, while Cruz and Kasich had 17 delegates apiece, based on how the nominating delegates were awarded in the March 8 primary. Even Mitt Romney’s niece is supporting Trump:

I have to admit, the Cruz shenanigans are really getting me down. I used to think that Cruz would be an okay back-up plan if Trump doesn’t get the nomination—but, any more, I realize that there is no way to support Cruz. He represents every stereotype about shady lawyers.

He and Kasich will be responsible for handing the nomination to one of the GOPe's picks, who like in '08 and '12, will lose to the Democrat1. Then the GOPe - who hates Cruz, will seize the opportunity to stab him in the back, blaming him for the Republicans' loss (it's all Kabuki Theater). Win/Win for the GOPe, Lose/Lose for Cruz.
Kasich may not be as brilliant as Cruz, but he's a lot savvier in the ways of politics. I think the GOPe powers-that-be have a cushy position in store for him after all this is over with.
The hand lad Rubio thought small, still powerful and they are being used to squeeze the innards out of Cruz without breaking a sweat.

I pray that many many more people will soon feel as you do. It exasperates me how Cruz keeps getting away with every sinister move he makes, all the while in the guise of a man of such religious faith that he has even been chosen. Quite the contrary, he has demonstrated there’s nothing beneath him.
Having read and watched Paul Manafort’s interviews on CNN & Meet The Press, I cannot wait for Mr. Manafort to expose Cruz’ dastardly deeds and take all necessary steps to guarantee Mr. Trump a first ballot nomination in Cleveland!!

If it does look like Trump will have the 1237 or more before the convention, look for a massive shift in the big MO, as people want to get close to ‘the power’ and hopefully get themselves lucrative government positions in a Trump administration.
