Will these whispers turn to shouts?
The word behind the word is that Paul Manafort is already earning his keep BIG TIME as he moves to deliver a stunning blow to the Cruz campaign a source describes as a potential “punch to the face” that involves the number 172.
Here is a brief summary of what will simply be called the “172 Plan” :
**Talks are ongoing and more numerous between Team Trump and a second party over the last 48-hours.
**If these talks lead to an agreement, it will be a game-changer in the 2016 Republican nomination process.
**Manafort is said to be personally leading the negotiations with Donald Trump’s full approval. In fact, it’s believed Manafort was the first to suggest this scenario last month but did so then more as an observer of the campaign. Now he is a top-ranking operative/adviser for Team Trump.
**This ongoing negotiation has sent the Cruz campaign scrambling to block further negotiation from materializing and getting a considerable assist from powerful GOP forces.

Understand...but, there are two large groups of voters that will walk away totally alienated unless there is some kind of merger...the nomination may not be worth the effort at that point...welcome President Hillary! This is what the GOPe and the media desire!

I’ve read most of the posts and how could Rubio, the darling of the GOPe be talking with DT if the GOPe are said to be turning to Cruz?

Rubio has no choice. He will be a lame duck senator and his career will be over once his term is up. His only shot is to hope Trump “buys” his delegates. He can trust Trump. He know Cruz would make promises then screw him.
Rubio (171) + Huckabee (1) = 172

Trump’s appeal in Ohio goes way past Romney.. Trump finished in a very strong second place in Ohio behind Kasich.. Cruz didn’t show up there

If Trump fails to achieve 1,237 votes on the first ballot, then the majority of the party does not want him. At that point, it is possible for another candidate to win (not steal) the nomination!
You can’t steal something from a person that they never owned in the first place!
My prediction: I think he’ll win, barely, on the first ballot!
