On the heels of a Marquette University poll showing Sen. Ted Cruz taking a 10-point lead in Wisconsin, Donald Trump once again whined on Wednesday that the establishment is trying to take the nomination away from him, citing the Louisiana delegate allocation which gave Cruz more delegates even though Trump got more votes. as Exhibit A. As Breitbart News reported:
With less than a week to go until the Wisconsin primary, Trump came out swinging -- against Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), against the Establishment lining up behind Cruz in order to keep Trump below 1,237 delegates so they can broker it in Cleveland, and against Cruzs supporter Governor Scott Walker.

What Cruz doesn’t know is that if he is successful in blocking Trump, these so-called new backers are going to throw him under the bus for someone they can control.
Very good well written article, thanks for posting.
Wasn’t it Walker who said that the nominee might be someone who isn’t currently running? Cruz is the willing tool of the establishment. He’s not going to get the nomination, and he knows that. Once he’s fulfilled his assigned function of blocking Trump, he’ll get a pat on the head, maybe have his campaign debts paid, or promised funding for his senate re-election campaign in 2018.
Ted Cruz, the Stealth Bush, and establishment toady.
Cruz is very bad in picking allies, frankly. Glenn Beck, Neil Bush.....he even teamed up with little Marco to undercut Trump when he should have been going after Marco.
That big, big mistake is why he is so far behind in the delegate take right now. He is just bad all the way round on reading people.
Yes, both are detesTED.
Won’t fly. When you win the election, you should receive the delegates. Period. Anything less is stealing, and yes, Cruz and the other GOPe (of which he is now undeniably a member) are trying to steal an election from Trump.
Trump will go to the convention with more than 10 million votes. His closest rival with maybe-—MAYBE-—60% of that.
I will say again: if trump has 1237 and doesn’t get the nomination, there will be outright rebellion and the end of the GOP. If he is very close (say, 50 delegates) and doesn’t get it, ditto. I think for there not to be a mass walkout he has to be significantly short-—over 200.
cries foul.
“the fact is that Trump in state after state has gotten a plurality of the delegates despite a majority of voters rejecting him and choosing someone else.”
Funny things, those facts....................
After the headline this becomes just another old tired retread Wile E Coyote sour grapes piece.
Wanna buy a bridge?
I heard Karl Rove make that statement.
Reality and all that matters.
Trump will have 1100-1300 delegates, next closest is Cruz with 700-800, GoPe is not suicidal, Trump wins on the first ballot if needed, GoPe to negotiate for VP.
Cruz is out. Guaranteed.
This race was over after Trumps beat down of Cruz in Fl and Oh, 1,000,000(margin of Trump over Cruz) pissed off R voters in those 2 states alone, if Trump is booted. Gope wants to hold on to Senate and House seats.
Ted will get a primary opponent in two years. A bunch of people down in Texas won’t be so enthusiastic for him the second time around. This 2016 presidential campaign will be the high point of his political career. After that it’s all gonna go downhill for him. Not to worry though. I’m sure the establishment has a nice lucrative DC lobbyist job all lined up for him as his reward for being their puppet.
They know it will only take one federal judge who agrees there is sufficient doubt about Cruz being a NBC.
The GOPee (as "the other half" of the Uniparty) doesn't care if they become irrelevant...as long as they can continue feeding at the trough of DC Money.
That's why they don't care if they are seen stealing the nomination from Trump - it doesn't matter to them how obvious it is to us.

Trump is done. Finished as a candidate. You can bellow how many delegates he has. But we all know that if he does not win on first ballot, he won't win.
