No Trump, no show.
Earlier today, Donald Trump announced that he wasn’t going to participate in the next GOP debate, which was scheduled to take place in Salt Lake City next week. Trump told Fox News “I think we’ve had enough debates,” and would instead be “making a major speech in front of a very important group of people.”
Reaction to this was split.
If you like Trump, you think that he doesn’t need to debate anymore. He just came off a series of major wins, and another night at the podium does nothing but give his detractors an opportunity to attack.
I mean really ... what do we need to know about these three that has not been discussed in the first 12 debates?
Trump: We don't win anymore ... we make terrible trade deals ... etc.
Cruz: I have beaten Trump not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5, not 6, not 7, but 8 times ... kids will come out of college with 2, 3, 4, and 5 job offers ...
Kasich: I've done it in Ohio and I will do it again in Washington ... I've the only one whose had to balance a budget ...
Donald has won all the debates. This would just be a waste of his time.

If we’re going to vote for him, we will just have to trust that he will do the right thing.
Trump will be the nominee and the president. We need to move on to his post-election plans - like who he’d appoint to the Supreme Court.

I won’t declare every baited POS varmint I have not divulged and will declare Fox my mortal enemy until they are not.

Of course its about the ratings thats why they have tried to turn the debates into wrestling matches

That’s hilarious! Sadly, it probably would be a very effective attack ad. It would really make people uncomfortable.
Point is, Trump’s got the power.

It is a smart move by Trump. The debate gains him nothing; the advantage would be Cruz’, so why play that game.
This is classic game theory, which Trump has obviously mastered. Cruz is pretty good at it, but providence has handed him a bad hand. This time. Cruz has shown himself to be very formidable, very capable at organization.
He and Trump should form an alliance and save the nation.
Actually, when Trump declined to attend the debate, Kasick also backed out and said he wasn’t coming if Trump didn’t. Fox offered Cruz a townhall which he refused.
Trump just owned Faux.
Wasn’t it actually after both Trump and Kasich said they wouldn’t go?
This was going to be Megyn’s Trump’s anti-women persecution/debate.
Haven’t watched them since the early 2000s.
Every time someone here says “Go look at ____ on Fox!” I have to fumble around for 5 minutes, trying to find what channel it’s on.
