Those Republicans who dont want Donald Trump need a better alternative candidate than either member of the Cuban junior varsity.
Neither Senator Ted Cruz nor Senator Marco Rubio can win in November.

Well, that’s all well and good in theory but I have always voted for the Republican nominee in the past, regardless.
Trump is a good deal more liberal in many ways though most realize or are willing to admit/accept....
Trump however, has a 2 decade history of taking liberal positions
1.He thinks affirmative action is okay.
2.He would fund Planned Parenthood except for abortion. (This is current federal policy)
3.He supports a progressive income tax. He does not favor a flat tax.
4.He doesnt want to cut Social Security or Medicare.
5.He’s in favor of a ban on assault weapons.
6.He supports Universal Healthcare coverage for every American and the “govt. will pay for it”.
7.He doesn’t “fully believe in supply-side economics”.
8.He wants to lead “from behind” on Ukraine. Trump believes that Germany should take the lead on Ukraine.
9.He hates the Iran deal, but he wouldnt abrogate it after taking office.
10. A short 5 years ago he termed the Republican approach to immigration enforcement mean spirited.
11.He supports “touchback amnesty.
12.He has supported/supports such liberal sacred cows as ethanol subsidies, Kelo and govt. bailouts.
And one more thing, I simply don’t trust the man.
Trump is not a patch to Ronald Reagan so don’t even go there.
But theres one big difference....not voting for a liberal is a pricipled conservative stance.
Your reason for not voting for Cruz would have to be something other than that.
The total extinguishment of the GOP.
Oh?
Why the 'best'?
Because not even a perfect MAN could beat this flawed WOMAN?
Upon what reasoning will you not vote for Donald?
You left out bisexual.
Perhaps La Raza Rubio’s most important trait for those willing to vote for him. Nothing like a racial supremacist panderer who’s light in the loafers (err...high heeled boots) to raise voter turnout.
Understandable.
Please see posts #48,#61.
Only one choice makes sense: Eric Cantor.
****************************************************
Eric’s still in deep denial & wallowing in bitterness over his loss to Brat so I don’t think he’s in any mental shape for a campaign. Then again, maybe Cantor Crying Towels would be as popular a fund raiser at Jeb!’s guacamole bowls.
Trump will warm up to everyone, and win in a landslide.
I do know that you’re not very well educated in spelling.
1)no should be spelled know
2)you’re should be spelled your
3)you shouldn’t use a comma after the word me...use; which is a semi-colon.
4)Your vow indicates that you have voted for liberals in the past (by virtue of your use of the word “again”).
Nothing personal traderrob6. I respect your wishes.
I apologize for my errors as I was typing fast and not awfully concerned with the spelling. I also didn’t believe anyone would be grading me on it.
Yes, I voted for both McCain and Romney unfortuantely.
Didn’t Carly walk away with millions after running her company into the ground?
I guess you don’t realize how much Rubio is hated in Florida. Marco is a lazy, lying, backstabbing, traitorous anchor baby who has no love for US sovereignty. You can’t believe a single word that comes from his mouth. He would not even carry his home state against Hillary if he’s the nominee.
You may think he’s personable. We, in Florida, know he’s a duplicitous liar. Without Florida, California, New York, Pennsylvania or Illinois, he’d better have Kasich as his running mate and hope he gets Ohio and a few other states the democrats won last time. Otherwise, there’s no way he’s electable and you’ll be saying President Clinton II.
Sorry it took so long to respond. I don’t agree Trump is a liberal today. He may be more conservative then others. I believe him when he saw ultrasounds and heard stories on abortion and changed his mind. We actually should applaud this.
Perhaps, but it strikes me as awfully self serving and a bit too convenient.
But as I stated; I don’t trust him so I’m naturally going to be cynical.
Maybe he did so. Honestly I support trump for 3 reasons. Review our liberal VISA and refugee program, make America the feared country we should be through strength with zero apology. And yes the wall. I believe he will have surveyors on the border the second he finished “so help me God.” If he didn’t build incredible buildings, I might be suspect of his abilities to build the wall. I also understand congress has already passed a funding bill to build the wall but George w didn’t do it. It was during the time people were sending bricks to Washington. I don’t care if Mexico pays or not. We need it.
Those Republicans who dont want Donald Trump need a better alternative candidate than either member of the Cuban junior varsity. Neither Senator Ted Cruz nor Senator Marco Rubio can win in November.IOW, Trump is the only viable candidate -- so why waste time on the drivel of a UK op-ed scribbler?
Voting with your vagina, I think.
We have a winner!
