What a joke the Democratic caucus is. Less than 14,000 people participated. It is not even a newsworthy event. Yeah Hillary "won" with almost 5,500 votes out of almost 600,000 Democratic registered voters.
That seems to be more total number of voters than 2008 ??
It’s not like there’s anything better to do in Nevada on a Saturday.
how this compared to previous elections? Knowing this number give us an idea about the enthusiasm from the DEM camp
Given a choice between a communist or a criminal Nevada chose the criminal. Nevada lives up to it’s reputation.
The local Dems didn’t want to have to ‘splain to Dennis Hoff why they didn’t vote for the criminal.
trust me, we don’t WANT her to lose.
the under 35 white kids LOVE the socialist.
they’ll stay home if Hillary gets the nod.
she is fairing 5 to 10 points worse than Bernie against us.
and It can only go downhill from there.
And now I’m sure the media and Clinton allies will say what a great victory this was.
Yep 52-48% is some overwhelming mandate for Hillary. Sarcasm.
I see Hillary surrounded by Latinas in every photo they show. What did that cost her?
I think those are the numbers of delegates sent to the county conventions in the next round of the process. Then those 14k will select the delegates to the state convention, then the state convention will select the 35 who go to the national convention in the summer.
There were actually about 80,000 people who turned out to vote today. The Democrats had 120,000 in the 2008 Nevada caucus, so their numbers are way down.
Sometimes numbers make a story more confusing. Why would they report 14,000 participants, and that Hillary won with 5,500 votes in a two person race? The math on that troubles me - whom did the other 8,500 participants support, and how did Bernie not win? Or is the explanation the same as Hillary winning the draw of cards and all six coin tosses?
I see. Once again we don’t know the vote totals as in IA.
Yes. 2008 was 10,500 voters, so that is 4,000 more. The change is not a measure of voter enthusiasm, just of get out the vote efforts and publicity.
Here’s another joke — a caucus in Dem primary in NV, where union bosses get to observe each and every union voter pick a side that goes against the union party line.
Can you imagine a more intimidating scene?
Really?!
That’s one Trump rally.
2nd/ 3rd world countries with 100 per cent voter turnout , dictator unopposed
why so few people voting?
just curious
there is a big contest between Bernie and Hillary, after all
its not like there was nothing to vote on
And every one of them will want a job in the Hillary administration.
You are right, but it’s hard not to get satisfaction out of seeing her lose. Of course already saw that once with Obama and I can’t say it was worth it.
