With the exception of widows, single mothers have traditionally faced strong social stigma. Feminists have made removing this stigma a priority as it is essential in order to free women from the reciprocal obligations which traditionally have come with motherhood. Feminism is far more about removing women’s responsibilities than it is about increasing women’s rights, so this is a critical area of focus for feminism.
Cut them some slack. At least these women didn’t kill their kid(s) for convenience.

There are a number of people who pay lots of taxes and have sadly inflicted on the rest of us totally rotten offspring.
There are other families who pay almost no taxes and raise good responsible children who grow up to be solid citizens.
I agree with you. I remember growing up as a kid and watching our mother cat bite the head off a newborn kitten that was sickly.

For the married, yank their chain when they start to complain about being "unhappy" and they're thinking of getting divorced. Divorce is hell on kids, and most women, when they remarry, marry *down*. For example, the real life woman in "How Stella Got Her Groove Back" married a 2nd husband who was a closet homosexual, and who according to some sources, was just using her for a green card.
You can't have it both ways. Women can't file for divorce eighty percent of the time and simultaneously get credit for being just as dedicated to the marriage as men.
The question is not who filed but who had grounds to file.
True case, guy leaves his wife and two sons to drive across three state lines to have sex with a 13 year old that he met on-line. No surprise the 13 year old was a police officer. He is arrest and goes to jail. Turns out this was not the first time he had done this, just the first time he got caught.
The wife filed for divorce.
Who was not committed to the marriage her, for wanting filing or him for leaving her to have sex with a 13 year old?
