Was Justice Scalia murdered? Forget "conspiracy theory." This is real.
Let's jump right in with quotes from the Washington Post, 2/15, Conspiracy theories swirl around the death of Antonin Scalia. The Post published extraordinary statements from the Facebook page of "William O. Ritchie, former head of criminal investigations for D.C. police":
"As a former homicide commander, I am stunned that no autopsy was ordered for Justice Scalia."
"You have a Supreme Court Justice who died, not in attendance of a physician. You have a non-homicide trained US Marshal tell the justice of peace that no foul play was observed. You have a justice of the peace pronounce death while not being on the scene and without any medical training opining that the justice died of a heart attack. What medical proof exists of a myocardial Infarction? Why not a cerebral hemorrhage?"
"How can the Marshal say, without a thorough post mortem, that he was not injected with an illegal substance that would simulate a heart attack..."

Thanks.
I’ve seen at least a dozen of them.
At least in MA and Vermont that is not the case.
Maybe in your county.
Ask people who have worked as EMTs or in Nursing homes. There is obviously a unattended death process, but it doesn’t always involve an autopsy.
If a 30 year old man dies behind the bar...that is worthy of an autopsy. A 79 year old man with documented heart disease...not so much.
If Scalia had been a nobody, found dead with a pillow over his head, there would have been an investigation.
Literally millions of people have motive to kill a SC justice. Motive.
He was in a secluded area. Opportunity.
He had a pillow over his head. Evidence of foul play.
Time to get some fluids under the microscope. How hard is that?
Yeah, when my cousin got lung cancer, the VA hospital told him it was probably due to Agent Orange.
OH LORD! Here we go. This question will be asked and answered for the next 100 years.
My counter to this is this: I travel a lot. A new thing in upscale hotel rooms is that they upgrade the linens, pillows and comforters. They put about thirty pillows on the bed.
I cannot tell you how many times I’ve woken up under the pillows because I turned in the middle of the night.
They are saying the pillow was on his head. Not in his mouth. Also, there would be indications in his eyes of strangulation. Patica, or something that sounds like that.
The proponents of abortion, of which there are too many to number, would murder in a heartbeat and feel no compunctions about it.
Even if I were to agree, and was also 99.9% sure that it was a nothingburger, the nation deserves at MINIMUM a basic investigation. PERIOD.
“We should all be so lucky to make our exit the way he did. “
Right, with a pillow over your face...
Good points.
“Old Fred was 96 years old and never woke up this morning. We’d better have an autopsy to see why he died”.
Particularly one that a large highly partisan political segment of the country would benefit hugely from his demise.
Me too, now I have an 80% VA Disability, I guess that means I can not have a weapon, VA has a fiduciary relationship with me now...(”Just a little Paranoia now and then is relished by the wisest men”)
The circumstances around Scalia’s death is almost an embarrassment of convenience.
Anytime there is a rush to destroy the evidence I am certain there was a crime.
The Democrats have a long history of criminal acts.
DG, now ask the next question:
Why is it important? Clearly, what he did, he is not going to do anything.
Is it important to find out if it was murder? I guess. I agree a cursory look by a homocide detective or at least a Tx Ranger or State Cop. They see dead people all of the time. I agree with that.
But in terms of what next? Are you thinking that Obama would change what he is going to do? Do you think it would change what Congress would do?
I understand the angst about not having closure (which is what this is—feeling like your team gets called for pass interference at the end of a close game and you cannot object to the play! Sorry! Your team loses, no time on the clock.)
But as much as anyone can conspire about what happened, in the long and short of it...we cannot do anything about. And it doesn’t change a thing about what is going to happen next.
Well, there is a conspiracy theory for you?
My guess is that it was school vacation, and his “usual guys” were doing something with their kids.
And really...what is the worst that could happen.
I hope they got his refusal in writing. Some supervisor is on the hot seat this morning.
Precisely. The coverup is always the most entertaining part of any DC Cartel op.
“As a former homicide commander, I am stunned that no autopsy was ordered for Justice Scalia.”
As a retired detective Sergeant and deputy Coroner for my Sheriff’s Department and the people of my county (30 years of service), I too am stunned that no autopsy was ordered for Justice Scalia.”
With any death investigation the search is for the truth, we may never know the truth.
Should the government be able to override the family’s wishes about an autopsy if there is no evidence of any foul play?
If you feel that way, write to your congressman and ask him to write up a bill that would make it legal.
“This is getting silly. I hope that we don’t have many constituent kooks getting into this tin foil hat nonsense.”
I’m not too concerned that it was a murder, but it strikes me as extremely odd that he wasn’t even examined by a medical professional. The results of that exam would have been useful to determine if an autopsy was needed, or not.
