"What so frightens the conservative movement about Trump's success is that he reveals just how thin the support for their ideas really is. His campaign is a rebuke to their institutions. It says the Republican Party doesn't need all these think tanks, all this supposed policy expertise. It says look at these people calling themselves libertarians and conservatives, the ones in tassel-loafers and bow ties. Have they made you more free? Have their endless policy papers and studies and books conserved anything for you? These people are worthless. They are defunct. You don't need them, and you're better off without them." (link)
There's a level of anger far deeper and more consequential than expressed rage or visible behavior - It is called "Cold Anger"!
Cold Anger does not need to go to violence. For those who carry it, no conversation is needed. You cannot poll or measure it; and even those who carry it avoid discussion; and that decision has nothing whatsoever to do with any form of correctness.
Cold Anger is not hatred, it is far more purposeful. Cold Anger absorbs betrayal silently, often prudently. Cold Anger is not driven to act in spite of itself; it drives a reckoning.
Cold Anger perceives deception the way a long-term battered spouse absorbs the blows in the hours prior to a pre-planned exit; with purpose. Delicate sensibilities are dispatched like a feather in a hurricane.
If it has come to this, the race is well and truly over.
Honestly, you look like a fool.
I believe you will find a similar image of Bernie Sanders posted by me on this thread.
You will also find a picture of a MUCH larger rally than anything The Donald® has been able to command on this thread featuring Barack 0bama in 2008.
How did that brand of populism work out for the Republic?
Posting pictures of how YUGE el Maximo's rallies are proves nothing, as my posting of NASDAP, Sanders, and 0bama's rallies proves. Populism says NOTHING about the quality of a candidate or the quality of his ideas.
Tell me: is the censorship of His opposition something you Trumpbots believe is a good thing?
Can Americans who object to Trump's single payer healthcare plan expect to be "zotted" when he takes up the issue in January 2017?
When Trump starts making deals with Democrats to "get things done" how will you feel about that? Paul Ryan and John Boehner have been universally condemned on this Forum -- justifiably so -- for doing just that very thing.
When el Supremo starts cutting deals with Democrats will that be OK? And will those of us who've always been against it be zotted for pointing out that it's hypocrisy?
I wasn't comparing Trump to Hitler. But the whiff of Fascism in your censorship threat is pretty strong. And it's not the first time a Trumpbot has warned me that He must remain beyond all criticism ... OR ELSE!
If you want the bottom line, how many babies has America aborted? What now?
Trump supporters are just trying to break out of the box. Choose to be helpful.
Sore Cruzerman really looks bad on you Freddie. :-)
I guess the old “Sore Loserman” bumper sticker needs an update!
The problem is that the Establishment GOP, the beltway punditry, and the K Street Cabal views conservatism to mean caving into gloBULList corporate desire for open borders, cheap labor and off shoring of our industrial base. These libertarian views are not viewed as conservative by, well, real conservatives.
Re: Nuremberg - Thank you. Hoards of low information, emotional thinkers and band wagon jumpers do not make a candidate any more than he is and he is an opportunist and a cynical narcissist.
Snicker! :-)
If "breaking out of the box" means "not being held responsible for any past position or previous political ideology" don't expect me to be "helpful."
When Trump says his militant pro-Abortion sister who's a Federal judge would "be a great Supreme Court justice." is that your idea of "breaking out of the box?"
Sorry: I'm not a dupe.
I'm not going to redefine conservatism for the sake of your cult.
bumpmark
They can have him. But what they cannot do, and what they will not do, is define "conservatism" to mean whatever Trump says it means.
Clearly, I’m not a cult and I’m not a Nazi. I’m just a conservative from birth trying to do my best until America has a Christian revival.
Trump can get elected and he has three issues of worth:
1) Immigration
2) National Security
3) Jobs
Everybody can’t be a Nazi Freddie. :-)
If Trump believes in those things but also believes in replacing 0bamacare with single payer, do you still support him?
If Trump believes Scalia is wrong about affirmative action, is that OK?
If the market crisis deepens, and Trump calls for another bailout -- as he did the first one -- is that OK?
Trump said this in 2008: "[The government] can take over companies, and, frankly, take big chunks of companies." Do Trumps positions on just three issues make that liberty-hating anti-Constitutional position OK with you?
Because it isn't. And the government seizing private property without compensation is NOT acceptable, no matter what else he believes.
I really want to know if there is ANYTHING that Trump can say or do that would even so much as give you or the other cultists -- and yes, you are one -- the slightest pause.
Well Georgie, threatening someone with censorship on a conservative forum reeks of Nazism; and I haven’t accused everyone of it — just you.
You get the Hitler award of the day.
Perhaps we could show a pic of Jonestown to portray your pick.
Some of you are mentally ill.
I don’t know Freddie a picture is worth a thousand words. Once you posted it you have a hard time backing out of the Nazi swamp. Sucks to be you today. :-)
